The S13 I recently bought has a blacktop S13 SR in it, with a front mount setup. The cold piping is all aluminum, very sturdy.

The hot piping is stock shitty rubber hose and couplings. Also, the elbow connected to the compressor outlet is bent a little past 90", so it's kinked a little bit.

How much of a performance benefit would I really see from installing an aluminum/steel hot pipe? I'm on a budget here so I'm pretty much counting the pennies on every mod I do :(

it really depends on the kink you are talking about, if the kink is small, you probably would not notice that it is hindering any of the performance. What it really comes down to is : how much is that kink blocking the airflow?

It's not too bad, but it's there. I guess probably the easiest (/cheapest) way to go would be to get a stronger silicone 90 degree bend that won't kink; it won't be hard hot piping, but the airflow wouldn't be obstructed.

Ignoring all that, the only benefit of the hard piping over stock would be improved throttle response...?
