Im running a ka alternator and my volts are 13.5 or sometimes lower are these sr20det motors finicky to voltage I have 3 ground straps and sometimes when voltage is 14. 14.6 car runs very good and a/f are very good also. any ideas.

What alt. do you guys suggest.

Iam also have a decelaration problem it wont idle on decel or if I tap throttle I have to hold it and let the rpms go down. thanks

The voltage is only over 14 on start and for like 5 mins after that thern it drops.Any Ideas other than a stock sr20det

sounds a-ok. FSM says you can average 2volts above what the battery has... So figuring that a fresh battery in good shape can easily have 12.5, its nothing out of this world to see numbers floating around 14v....

Now, if you get crazy spikes or dips - that would throw a flag...

I am having low voltage problems 1.v to 1.5 of drop in the charging system. Thats why I was seeing if these motors are finicky to volts or ground straps or something of that nature.

My alt is showing about 12.8 to 13 volts while running. I believe its about dead since the battery is pretty new.

Anything around 13.3-13.8 while running is fine. If you've got 12V or lower while the car is running, it's time to look at getting a new alternator & battery.
