just and FYI, it's only made for 91-94 (chuki) so if you have a pignose (89-90) good luck. SE lip's your best option in that case.

That alone shouldn't make a car of the month. But whatever,. I've seen the car progress for a while, it's just, I dunno. Whatever. Imma stop talking, lol.

It's a myth. It just didn't sell for so long that people thought it was discontinued. Truth is, Xenon just had the mold stored away and it was almost forgotten. last year a member on NICO did some digging around and actually got a shop to get the lip from Xenon and had a group buy for them where I originally got the lip for my S13 in the first batch.

This is the cheapest I could find it:

www.performancecenter.com - part #:5351

$232.83 + (FREE shipping) = $232.83

I just got mine in and on the car a few weeks ago. Nice improvement! The fit and finish are perfect...

This lip is for 91-94 models. They do not carry 89-90 lips. Don't ask why they have a pic of the pig-nose...doesn't make much sense.

Holy shit @ http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/5/web/2225000-2225999/2225654_4_full.jpg

Do you have any info as to what it takes to install? Any modifications needed besides basic wiring?

Also, any pics of the lip on your car? I haven't seen too many up close pics of the Xenon installed.

Gotcha...just never even thought about a OEM newer nissan double-deck install...especially fitting so perfectly + 6-cd. It's "sleeper" to me and would draw less attention to a cd player (in case you dont have an alarm or just forget to take the face off one time, or can't take the face off, etc.).

Thanks...

Yup, I was stoked about it the first time I saw it too haha. I plan on doing something like that as well, I looks much better IMO than just a single deck radio.

Thanks for the compliment...I appreciate it. The radio came out of an '04 Nissan Frontier. I got it on ebay for $148, including shipping. The stock mounts mount directly to this unit. I couldn't use plugs for some reason, I don't remember. Maybe because I had to by-pass the factory speaker amps for my new 4x6's. If you know how to wipe your ass, you can wire this radio up.

I'll take some pics of the lip and post later.

I like it for the same reasons, plus it looks stock. That's a plus for me. I like original looking equipment. I'm not into the screen saver, flashy CD players. I just wanted a changer in my dash, that looked stock and this worked perfectly. Yeah, I agree, it's definitely "sleeper" - I like your definition.

Oh, one other thing. This head unit is slightly longer than the original and I had to push a metal plate inside the dash to get it to go in.

Sorry, not yet....I'll try and do it today. I want to wash it up a little first. (Little anal 'bout shit like that.) Wife had surgery last week and I've been taking care of her, plus it's been raining just about everyday.

does anyone know if the fitment of the lip changes with a FMIC....

i would guess there is some small trimming to do, but i would like get confirmation.

NeedCAforS13
10-11-2007, 10:57 AM
you have to cut it a bit to fit a fmic.

93240
10-11-2007, 12:24 PM
The fitment doesn't change and I don't have a FMIC, but this piece follows the same lines as the factory bumper cover. Whatever cutting is necessary on the OEM front bumper cover, will be necessary on this lip. From what I've been told, not much needs to be taken off for a FMIC.

If you look closely at the pics, you can see this lip extends all the way to the top of the opening and extends all the way back following the same lines as the factory opening.

just so you guys all know, i just ordered my lip from performancecenter.com and they have a coupon code for $10 off on any purchase over $200. so $232 -$10 + $17.27 tax *(i'm in cali)* + $11 for ground shipping = $251.10 shipped total. i cant wait 4 it to get here.
when you go to the checkout page put save10 in the coupon box.
