I really want to get a 240SX and do the S15 conversion to the front end, but I'm not sure what year to get. Does anyone have any pictures of the 1991-1994 style 240SX with the conversion done? I'm looking for pictures of a BLACK car, as that is what I would probably get. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Whats involved to get the fenders to fit...I heard they dont match up correctly. How much bondo is required to get that setup?

I read that you have to weld the S13 and S15 fenders together to get them to fit

Am I the only one who thinks that it's kind of ugly? The front looks great, but compared to the rest of the body and the wheels, its just WAY too big. The rear fender flare helps it look a little bigger but it's still ugly.

Lose the wing, tint the windows, put the OEM S15 hood on there, take off stickers.

then it will be cool.

Nope, I think it's out of proportion too. The s15 front is just too wide for a conversion like that.

i definitely think the sil80 is still the best non 180 front end conversion...sil80 meaning s13 silvia front end
its also the easiest to do
and the cheapest!

I agree with transient, It just seems to wide i guess. I just think that the Sil80 is just sweet lookin, can't deny it.

While the s13-s13 sil80 is the easiest, and cheapest to do, it's also been done to death. The front bumper is obviously an aftermarket one, I forget which, but I don't like it to begin with.

The guy asked for a s13-s15 sil80 in black so that's what I posted. Personally I like how the front looks, minus the oversized (and not the best fit) front fascia.

There are few s13 strawberry faces out there, which is why i'm going that route (also because my passenger side headlight is screwed from a bad drift ;P so I gotta fix the front anyhow hehee)... too bad I'll have to drive nicer after the conversion.... (and no there's no welding of fenders... where did you guys hear that?)

I personally don't like the S15 front end on the fastback, but that's just me. I think it's too "new-looking" to be on a body that's 10 years old. It just doesn't match to me, for some reason. I love my front end. I like the lines, I think it's very aerodynamic (while the pop-ups are down, at least), and it's very Nissan-looking. However, I'd go for an S13 front end on my FB any day... just b/c the body on mine isn't as clean.

Now, how is this a tech question??

180SXs or Fastbacks look the shittiest with headlight conversions. I like the kouki S14 lights but only saw them in one angle, I am sure it would look bad in other angles.

I agree with you guys when you say the front is too big for the rest of the car, it looks real wierd. If you were to cut it in half I would love both pieces, except the wing, but together they look odd. I don't know why but I love pop-ups, not too may cars have em, and the ones that do are great cars, in most instances (Ford Probe ). Although the S13 coupe looks soooo much better with the silvia front end.

S14s also look wierd with S15 headlights, I love the stock looks on all the S-Chasis Cars, except the coupe we get over here.

It might just be that headlight conversions have been ruined in my mind, but just my opinion, but some conversions look really sexy, and maybe if the front bumper was changed on that car it would look nice.

wow, i'm starting to LOVE st. louis. no one HAS 240's around here. there's no strawberry face conversions, there's not even any s13 conversions. not on hatches, not on coupes. we all drive stock body 240's. i haven't so much as seen a 240 with an aluminum wing on it yet! seriously, i can drive my bone-ass stock 240 down the strip, and people are like "damn, that's not a probe, what is it?" well, used to be. now that everyone's making a big deal out of the 240 in super street and SCC, i get shit like "hey dude, let's go to a parking lot, show us some drifting, dawg" from civic kids... oh well.

anyway, i love the strawberry face hatch. i want one. i might make one. but i'm driving the beater 240 for a while...

The front does look kind of wide to the rest of the car, but I like the conversion. That is what I want to do, and I haven't seen anyone in the Nor Cal area that has the S13-S15 swap, plus I love those headlights.........

i think tha tlooks bad..i love the s15 on the hatch, next to the s15 on the s14 of course. personally i think that looks kool kinda like the s2000...small from the rear and goes wide as it heads towards the headlights

As of right now, I have an s14. Now that i saw that, I must have it!!!!!!!!! That is BADASS!!!!!!! I am going to start looking for an s13. a buddy of mine has a 90 s13, and i need help.

There is clear coat coming off on the hood and the lights, and on the spoiler. other than that it looks pretty straight.. I know he paid $2500. for it, and he wants to sell it for $3800.

Should i do it, or should i keep looking. the car is 5spd, and maroon.

That car does look rather ugly, its just to much junk and out of proportion. I think the S15 front end looks so much better on the S14.......

the problem i've got with the black 180/s15 is that it doesn't look like the lines match up properly between the hood and the bumper. and that bumper's just too damn big. oh, and the hood is too excessive as well... i'd take the s15 front end on that grey s14 and stick THAT on a 180. that'd look clean.

well that is not the cleanest strawberry face I have seen . I saw the Signal Auto Strawberry up close at the Long Beach convention center and it was dope. Much better than a standard Sil 80 IMHO. Plus to many people running around socal with sil 80's now. The other thing is I think the strawberry face is dope but its too damn expensive IMHO. If you have lots of many and don't care that your front end has almost the same value as your whole car. Then its cool, but when it gets hit or you bang it your gonna cry . Its a very expensive fix. That said, call me a hypocrite if I wind up with one on my next car. hehehehehe

well, the woman has decided that she wants a house, and I'm having to agree... I'm tired of paying someone else to neglect the property we live on, I'd rather own the property I neglect! haha....

It's not for sure tho, the current debate is whether to try for a house this year or next... if it's next, then i'm getting a subaru (an old one) for the winter while the 240 goes into the shop for my SR... otherwise it's house this year, and car the next...

I'm really torn. I know most of you would pick the car hands down... but i'm getting old, and the idea of owning my own BRAND NEW built to my specs home (read that as full furnished basement wetbar/pooltable/darts/play area and fully finished garage w/tiled and drained flooring) sounds rather nice... i'm even contemplating puttin in a car lift... Hate to admit it, but I'm leaning towards home ownership
