16's don't look too bad on s13s imo. I run wide 16's on my S14 even and it feels a little small, but I don't mind it.
Those sizes are pretty nice too. Do you have pics?

Not your specific sizes, but they're pictures of S13s with 16" wheels on them to give you an idea... I linked threads so as to not take peoples' pictures without their permissions.

225/50/16
245/45/16
fair amount of tire choices out there. bridgestone alone offers the re01r in 225, the s03 used to be available in 245. sadly, wider tires are not as common in 16" as they used to be. i think its a trend, i dont think its permanent.
just because newer cars come in these sizes, doesnt mean that tire manufacturers will neglect older cars. tire selection and sizes are constantly changing, so its really a matter of whats available at the moment. whats available this year, may be different next year, and after that.
anyway, i think 16's are great for people who like to tear-up the streets without busting the bank. the more baller and showy folks can go with larger sizes. i mean, nothing wrong with 17".. a slightly wider/better selection, but the prices jump as soon as you hit 18"

Also, go ahead and buy some 15mm spacers for the front. You wont clear the brakes without them.

16 and 17 look good on stock body.
maybe minimal body mods.
18" you'll have to add some kind of body mod. to make it look nice overall.

I would run 225/45 up front and either 245/45 in the rear or 225/50 stretched.

I'm running 15" and I think they look great. I dont think a 16" is too small at all. Not a big fan of larger wheels on the s13.
Something like a 16" on a s14 looks small though.

if your rocking a stock body or a small body kit. i think 16's with a body kit are gross, dosen't look uniform.
