What the hell do those little squares next to your rep rating mean?

In your case it means that you've been a very bad boy.

Red=Bad
Green=Good

I haven't had any warnings that I know of though so how would I have been a bad boy without being notified.

There's no warnings.

Go look at your User CP to see the comments left for your negative rep and you'll probably find out why.

Probably from something that you posted and some people didn't agree.

Hell I'm probably one of the people. Who knows.

You get red squares because you post this bs in chat.

hehe, pretty much. When I read the thread title my thought was "they mean you need to search, because this thread will only make them multiply like bunnies. :)"

Search, and the mystery that is rep will be revealed to you.

All you have to do is search mang!

I got this one, James/Dook
To add/remove from a user's rep, you click this button under their name: http://www.zilvia.net/f/images/buttons/reputation.gif
When you select "I approve," their rep will be given in a positive manner, adding as many points as your "rep power" is shown to be.
If you click "I disapprove," now you MUST enter a comment with said disapproval, and the user's rep will be DECREASED by ONE HALF the amount shown in your "rep power..."
You gain rep power through three elements:
Tenure: For every CALENDAR year you're on the forum (meaning every January 1st), your rep power grows one point.
Reputation: For every 100 (one hundred) whole rep points you gain, you get one point.
Posts: For every 1000 (one thousand) posts, you gain one point.
Once your rep dips below a certain point (which I am yet unaware of) your green squares become red and your "rep power" is, by default, zero until you cross back into the good.

I was curious about rep. too so I searched and BAM! (Emeril style) right in my face was PHLIP with everything I needed to know.
