im talkin about MTBE the additive they use in gasoline....i know its supposed to be cleaner for the environment or some crap like that, but does it do anything to the car? &nbsp;76 now has gas with no MTBE in it...is that good? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh:'>

Methyltetrabutyl-ether.

It's an oxygen-bearing compound. Generally considered a bad thing for engines, and incidentally, it's a very bad water pollutant. Good for 76 for not including it.

lol, first couple times i looked at the name of that compound there i thought it was a random bunch of numbers, thought you pounded the keyboard in anger or something, lol
