Just got the game:coolugh: all I can say is its fucking awsome. So damn fun to play co-op with 4 people. On one console you can only have 2 players for co-op, but we system linked and got 4 people in. Its so hilarious and fun. Man I LOVE this game. Played all night last night for about 3 hours before my friends had to go home :loco:

It looks pretty amazing to me and its on my 32" Sony TUBE tv. I can only imagine it looking much more amazing on HD. I am not in the market for a new HDLCD TV:keke:

The games has been leaked all over the net to say the least.

One thing that I noticed with the game is that they made everything bigger. The new Zanzibar seems so freaking huge. With the way the game is now it seems like you are safer to camp and pick people off compared to Halo 2.

The new weapons are all AWSOME and the graphics even better. The one thing I hate is the new/revised pistol. It slow as shit. Theres maybe 2-3 seconds delay between shots:tweak: :loco:. Another gun that took me by surprise was the needler. It is way too powerful less than half a clip can take you out :ugh: the good thing is you can no longer dual wield it. AR is nice and seems like a replacement for the SMG. Played multiplayer for about an hour before switching to co-op and no one used the SMG once :keke:

I've played 3 or 4 levels so far, its pretty cool... when I was playing earlier, I killed a grunt, and another grunt yells about me killing his friend, then calls me a big bully... made me laugh

Skate and Halo are probably my favorite games of all time.

i think the greatest part of the whole game is that you can do lazy ollies, like ollie up a curb and land back wheels first just like you would in real life if you were chillin or tired or something. sooo sick

First off! Skate is an awesome game. Really recommended if you want a realistic skating game!

And I wasn't really a halo fan but I got it anyways and its a damn good game. Beat both normal and heroic modes in about 8 hours. =\ nerd.

Dude people just go to Wal Mart. I went there the night it came out after i got off of work. they had a ton of copies of the special edition and regular. They said no one thinks they have it so no one goes there lol. Also The game is great. At first I thought it was a lot like Halo 1 and 2 but really there are a lot of differences. Everything is smooth and the campaighn gameplay and story line are awesome. I dont understand why everyone on all the game sight (IGN ect) are saying its overrated because its like the other. Fact is you can only improve on a FPS game such as Halo 2 so much. And I think they achieved that with Halo 3 in everyway

The game is awsome and love multiplayer. I find myself playing the co-op over and over. Its fun, getting the skulls are pretty fun too. Its too bad that you cant search for custom games like Infection aka zombies.

Yea I just wanted to see the story before some asshole ruined it for me :) I tried legendary today, by the time I beat the first level, I had watched the latest episodes of Prison Break, The Pickup Artist (dont laugh), and Heroes...

That part where you are at the harbor area, where you first meet the brutes with the sledge hammers destroyed me. One attempt I had the hammer guy down in the sewer part pelting him with the plasma pistol because I had no ammo for anything else. I emptied 2 pistols into him and he didnt even budge lol ><

I'm really not looking forward to the flood levels later

I was talking about this in another forum(!blasphemy!) The new lockout remake is ok, but doesnt have that same linear lockout feel. I would love to see Ascension, the original Lockout, Ivory tower(my favorite) :love:, even Beaver Creek. Im hoping they really do release a DLC map pack with the old maps, like I said I would even pay for it. This is the ONLY M$ game I fully support, everything else is a backup:keke:

My favorite type so far has been the 4v4 game, first team to 5 points wins. Get that with a good group of people on voice comm and its a blast.

well, i didnt find halo2 confusing at all. and the only time i really ever dual wielded was smg/plasma rifle. and i didnt rock it very often.
and the maps were, well, much better i think. ivory tower was the shit. lockout, ascension... all were great maps. the hangem high remake was awesome too.
like i said before, i dunno what it is about some of these maps but they just suck. and your right about one thing, they definately made it easier for the noobs.

also, does it seem like grenades have no radius??? its like people walk through grenades like nothing. i liked it better when people were rewarded for making good grenade throws.
and somethings up with the sniper too, sometimes shots dont register. ive heard of a lot of people complaining about this so i know im not the only one.

im not saying i dont like it. i love it. but some of the maps need a few tweaks.

sniper shots and melee registering seem to be a bit iffy when there is alot of action on screen.

My usual "bullet bullet bullet melee" only works about 70% of the time. Also one hit melees dont always register.

u need to hit them exactly from behind. i know wat u mean sometimes when somebody's sniping i come up from behind and they might turn ever so slightly when i hit them that i dont get the kill. just pop a couple of shots on them after and they're done.

Awsome ^^ I'll hit you up for some games. The best way to learn is when you are in the action. If I just walked through a map with no one around I wouldnt remember where anything is.

I have to agree with skater, and no offense to anyone. The new maps and such just arent that great. Lockout, Ivory tower, and some others were setup so strategically and thats why it was so competitive in Halo2. I dont see it so much in H3, but its still a great game.

As far as the split goes, I dont think bungie would just get up and leave their biggest money maker out in the cold. Im sure there will be some updates and even maps in the future. From what I remember their contract with M$ is up so they wanted to leave and not be only M$ exclusive, which is smart of them. M$ does hold the rights to Halo though and hopefully they dont fuck it up.

i think the old maps are available already(just not out on the marketplace)... they just want to make mor emoney off of it. so in a few months, they will put it up in the marketplace for everyone to buy.

i have the elite, and even using my friends samsung 42 1080p with the hdmi connection. even at that clarity... when you change up your colors to coordinate with the maps, you are pretty much camo'ed. throw down a radar jammer and you can sneak up on people pretty easy.

I like Halo 3 a lot more than Gears because a lot more team work is involved on Ranked and Social Matches. No matter how good the best player is, if he decides to go out on his own his team will lose because the other team is working together. No exp for him, he's just seems like another noob.
