View Full Version : Clutch pedal feeling awkward...

So I recently replaced my clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder and clutch line (to the slave) and bled the system. For some reason the pedal is slow to come back up and I have alot of play where I can push the clutch pedal half way before it engages or disengages.
I've ordered some speed bleeders that should be coming in later today, so I'm going to put those on the dampener and slave cylinder, while wrapping telfon around the clutch line threads. Then I will see if I can adjust the clutch pedal.
With that said...does anyone have any other suggestions?

Sounds like what mine was doing when I had air in the system. Speedbleeder should take care of that.
I also installed a speedbleeder (only one, because I removed the damper) and it made it easy as cake.

How does the pedal feel with the damper gone?

Well, it definitely doesn't have that "smooth" feeling anymore, but it does feel more responsive. But I also added a SS clutch line at the same time, so that may have helped a bit too.
I did SS clutch line + speedbleeder + damper removal at the same time.
The thing is though, I just started driving manual. I've been driving manual for about 3-4 weeks now...
