View Full Version : Gas flooding oil at a stupid rate. WTF?

I had a stuck injector a while back then it stopped running funny and smoking after unplugging and plugging the injectors a few times. I changed my oil about a week ago a now my oil already has the stench of gas and will fucking drip like water. Bad compression, bad injector o-rings, or what? The runs fine. No smoke, doesn't burn oil, idles fine, runs insanley good for 260k miles. What would I look in doing first? Friday I will be picking up a compression tester.

Pull injectors and inspect the o-rings and grommets.
This happened to me and after replacing a streched o-ring my problem was gone.
Took like 2 oil changes to get all the excess gas out.

Do you have vaccum to the crank case?
do it

Yeah I can put my finger on it and it has a pulsing suction.

remove fuel rail. Turn key to on. And check for leaks. turn engine over once and make sure that flows stops as soon as you stop cranking. I advise you to hold a pan under the rail. Perform compression and leak down test.

wow dude hearing this you better be careful that the fuel doesnt flood into the pistons or its sizzed....lol

I'm sure you know this, but just in case you dont...
Dont run your car with gassous oil!!!

I know this. Thanks though. I'm soooo fucking tired of changing my oil every week.

Why not just get new injectors? Sounds like you have a ka...
I have a set of ka24de injectors i'd let go for a reasonable(being less than others) rate... Just an offer.

Name your price.

3 MIIIILLLLIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOONNN dollars.
Seriously though, not sure what to ask, and i'm out the door right now. If you want to see what they go for normally, then take a few bucks off that price, they are yours...

how did you install the injectors?
its easy to rip up the o-rings

 Yeah I can put my finger on it and it has a pulsing suction.
no....
do you have the crank case connected to a vaccum source like is that a hose from the intake into the turbo to the line that comes off the crank case that goes to the oil catch first.

^?? I'm confused now sorry.

did a compression test and it was 90 accross the board. Fucking bullshit. I was sooo hoping to boost my 260k ka and show all these dsm guys I know what Nissan is all about. Next is a leakdown and I'll see from there.

was the car warm? was the tb open? these will cause low numbers
daryl337
10-03-2007, 09:22 AM
... not THAT low. =/

did you comp test it with fresh non diluted oil?
if your crankcase is flooded with gas, the cylinder will get washed down with heavily diluted oil... which may cause your compression to read lower than it actually is

could you please explain why there should be vacuum to that line? i dont understand.
like why should there be vaccum to it instead of just atmosphere? i have a sohc

like the oil catch on a stock sr, there is a line routed to vaccum...
etc...
you can do this on any motor, to save it from the curses of blow by or to prolong use on worn rings.
even with 500 hp :hs:

yes but why is vaccum better than atmosphere??? i dont see how vaccum is better for the crankcase. and what about when your in boost and the valve gets stuck closed??? wouldnt that be bad?

Did you change your oil after you fixed your injector? Because if you didn't then that is why your oil stinks like gas and is watery as fuck.

I'm running water/meth and the check valve started leaking. Needless to say, the car started to stumble/misfire. Should I be worried about the oil? I automatically assumed that when water comes to contact with the pistons/block, it will evaporate immediately and go out the exhaust. Should i change the oil? Which is 50 bucks I don't wanna spend, since I changed the oil 500 miles ago.

So after I change my oil for the 4th time in less than 2 months do a retest? Now that you mention it I never told my freind to hold it at wot. I figured he knew. I'm sure he didn't because those numbers are really low. What would you say my compression is now? 90 w/o it at wot. Oh did the test after driving 80mph for 15 minutes so it was def warmed up.

Yeah, its F'd. Time for rebuild/new engine, and show everyone at the street races what nissan is all about.

^Oh damn..[sighs]. Nothing but 302 and dsm fanactics around here. Roughly what would compression have been if at wot. Got 90 w/o it at wot. I met leigh or lee idk..but antways the guy with the fastest auto talon in states. Cool guy.

well without wot, there is no air to compress, id say 20 point more

sigh I tried I fucking tried. :gives:
put it this way, when your give yourself a blow job does it make you shit yourself?
try it
ilovecoupes
10-04-2007, 11:51 AM
you havent tried at all. you post the outcome of putting vaccum to the crankcase but you cant seem to explain why. i ask you a simple honest question and you would rather be gay and talk about blow jobs than help me out. forget it dude

Both above comments make me lmfao!!
240what?

I believe the purpose of hooking it to a vacuum line is to pull excess crankcase pressure out. The system alleviates crankcase pressure, which can push out on seals and gaskets, contributing to oil leaks. Built up crankcase pressure can make a car run like ass. 2 ways that I know of to remove the pressure is either a vacuum pump or just hook the damn line up and be done with it :cj:

Someone told me today that my gas problem could be my fpr. What do you think?
