sunroof rattle

:aw: Well not exactly the sunroof it self but the compartment it goes in to when you open it inside your roof. It only rattles when I open my sunroof also. I know the car is 12 years old but there has to be a way to fix the rattling in side the roof liner. If I push up on the roof liner it will stop the rattleing but its hard to stear and shift with just your left hand!! :2f2f:

Your sunroof assembly probably has shaken loose throughout the years. You might want to pull off your headliner and check all the screws and nuts securing the assembly to your roof.

Drop the headliner. The rear sunroof drain can become loose and rattle around, and the rear sliders on the sunshade can loose their rubber feet from heat and rattle against the frame. With the headliner out it's easier to pinpoint the noise and correct it.
