i have a 91 240sx with sr and my car wont start
it all started when i disconnected the negative terminal from my battery 2 days ago. when i got back i put the battery back on and it started normally, after driving it for about 5 minutes the engine sounded like it turned off and my revs drop slowly until i came to a stop. and when i gave it gas it wouldnt respond. i tried to start it, it cranked but wouldnt start. so i get it back to my friends house disconnect and reconnect(small sparks when i connected the positive terminal) the battery again and try to start the car and it starts perfectly. yesterday i took the car out, it started normally but about 5 minutes into driving it dies the same way as the day before. i noticed that when i tried to start the car and took the key out the egi relay makes a clicking noise until i try to start it again or disconnect the battery. this morning when i got home i took another look at the fuse box and the egi, egi pump, and the relay next to it were significantly warm, even though the car had been off. i bought this car this car a little more than a week ago and it has never given me any problems like that until the day i disconnected the battery, anyone have any ideas?
