i have been curious and wanted to see some 240's with either wheels or motors from mustangs...
i have only seen 1 240sx with Cobra wheels and it looked nice and wanted to get some ideas from what you guys have been doin...

ya.. i haven't heard too much about that. might want to go custom. there is no kit for any mustang motors that i know of. become friends with a machine shop.:ugh:

its gonna be alot of shit. custom motor mounts and custom wiring. the best thing to do is to become familiar with the mustang and go from there. any "Strange" swap will have to be mostly custom work.

hey.

im the owner of that v8 240, and im pretty ashamed of the extreme ghettoness in that pic. we rushed to get the car together for that event, and we *had* everything wrapped in foil, started taking it off, then killed a MAF on the dyno as I was running open MAF, realized the coupler was torn also, and that was my super ghetto "hey lets get to the damn track already" ghetto 5 minute fix.

dont know if you can tell by the battery tie-down too, had to cut some corners big time once it was running after having a lot more fix its than i thought we'd have at a testing session the week before.

sorry to dig up old thread, but im pretty ashamed of the extreme ghettoness in that picture. i'd say it looks a lot better now, but the car is dismantled, and i dont have any real pictures of it once it got cleaned up , loomed the harness and actually installed everything and cleaned it up with the new motor.

that motor was also a 98 motor with 160k miles on it, the oil pump died at that event and thats why it was parked. spent several weeks waiting on something stupid that was little but important for the semi built 02 motor i had so i had to throw that in last minute.

still ghetto as hell though, just pretty ashamed of it, but did what i had to do to make it.
