anyone think slipping a sheet of sheet metal will baffle enough noise to test under the 96.5db max? the ssac duals with a cat measured at 108db.

Put a large resonator in line. A cheap-o muffler shop can help you with this. It will quite the exhaust right down.

the problem doing that is that the ssac duals seperate into 2 pipes about 10 inches from the cat.

i slipped a piece of sheet metal and quieted the car down a lot. the motor idles smooth as before, but doesn't smoothly rev up. also, there's a leak that i can hear, but the good news though, is that the motor can be revved to 4200rpm and stay there enough to do a noise test.
