i'm sure some of you know that my car was up for sale and it has been sold.
i sold it to someone from Oxnard Cali. i won't say his name or screen name yet.
sold it for $8400. with stock brakes, stock steering wheel, and no head unit.
btw that costed me $200. uninstalling, getting new pads finding missing bolts.. and all. maybe it's less..
that guy came with 2 friends. they seemed very nice. very young, doesn't look like a type of person who would srew you over......:squint:
he only had 8000 in hand so i said just pay me back next month. he said i can't get 400 next month so i told him how about 200 at the end of aug. and another 200 on sept.? he said ok.
we agreed take the shift knob out too but i just left it cause he looked very excited and i want him to enjoy it and take care my car as well as i did or even more.
on aug. we talked several times on the phone. and by the end of aug. he stopped answering my phone calls with no call back.
and i left several messages and still no call back.
now i have no choice but going up to oxnard which will be about an hour and half drive from my home.
it sucks to go up to get my money and it's just messed up.
forums like zilvia and ebay trades are based on trust. and i trusted that guy and now i feel really betrayed.

him and his friends are on this forum.
if you are his friend, direct him to the right direction.
if you are that guy. call me.

So he owes you $400 still?

Damn dude it always shocks me that people like living their lives like this, all dishonest and stuff

Don't make purchases or promises you cannot keep! That reflects poorly not only on you, but karma will always come and give you a taste of your own medicine

I'm just glad you got $8000 at least, with just $400 remaining then in the grand scheme of things that's not too bad

But its most definitely the principle

PAY UP whoever you are!

Yeah that's a bad situation (but not too bad, you still got $8k). It was lame of him to wait until he picked up the car to tell you he was $400 short (if I'm just reading it wrong I'm sorry), but cool of you to 'be flexible'.

That guy needs to make it right before this becomes 'more public'. Be careful just showing up at his house, though. I've gone to 'collect' before, and people have a tendency to forget they're in the wrong when they find some person on their door forcing them to pay up.

At the very least, if he shows up to pick it up and is $400 short, he should bring and offer to leave some form of collateral IMHO.

i just wouldnt have sold him the car if he showed up with 400 less than he was supposed to. If you agreed on $8,400 and he doesn't have it, too bad, gotta pay to play

introduce him to a louisville slugger. they seem to have a way of persuading people to find money they might owe.

You were nice, and this time it didn't pay off... At least you aren't down too much, comparing to a lot of other people who have been jipped of all their money... Keep us updated on how it goes, and if you can't get your money back post the username and whatnot as to prevent anyone else from dealing with them...
