anybody got pictures of S13 Coupes with silvia dual projectors. I was looking for a set of "brick" style headlights but i just got a sick deal on a clean set of dual projectors and was wondering if anyone has nice looking coupes with those headlights. post umm up.

sorry barry, i easily lose my train of thought and stop thinking about headlights as soon as i see a nice set of tits. besides, this isnt a lighting thread - its a pic request thread, which is worse.. because it just shows people are fucking lazy to google something.

to answer your question though, i dont bother ranting about the silvia headlamps because they ALL SUCK. RHD headlamps shouldnt be used on US roads unless they're converted (and upgraded) to more powerful LHD optics.

as for becomming a sponsor, i'de love to.. but i dont think it will do much good. most people on zilvia would rather dump that money into a turbo upgrade and dont have much money when it comes to "seeing better." its pretty obvious, since some of the sponsors advertising are selling sub 200 dollar HID kits.

i prefer being an average "240sx owner" rather than a site sponsor.

I was offered $150 plus a pair of bricks for my dual projectors.

Yes, I would say the projectors with the hid projector conversion, like tsx, tl, are much better than the bricks with hid kits. But aren't the hid projectors somewhere around 150 for a pair? plus the hid kit you want, the cheapest from sponsor 135, and the risk of over baking, or bending the housing when you try to pry the lens off? Yeah, if you have money, you can pay like 200 for someone to swap the projectors for you. Does it even worth it to pay 300-500 for getting brighter lights from an over 10 year old headlight??

to answer a REAL question, better lighting is better lighting.. regardless if its on a new car, old car, or a bicycle. if you cant see, you need better lighting.

if you cant see because your headlamps are not good (like s13 popups with sealed beams) then a simple upgrade would be sufficient. hella, bosch.. or cibie (for the more spendy) are very good upgrades.

for the tools who are running RHD silvia headlamps, the lights are antiquated and to further compound the problem, they are flaring towards the wrong direction. both projector and reflector designs are HALOGEN, so they're the same crap. only difference is that the projector headlamps are easier to upgrade to modern-day optics.

lets not re-hash this topic again, its already been beat to death with TONS OF INFO in many, MANY previous threads.
