Ok, so I bought some Ergo II's on here a while ago, and I had a big blow out with the seller, who until this day still claims that they are real. So, I need to know, what are 100% surefire ways to tell, if my seats are in fact real or not. My tag does not say, made in Japan in the back. My mounting holes for the rails, are much closer in towards the middle, as compared to another Bride seat. (There was a local selling Ergo II's, and I compared them.) I checked the sides, where you adjust the seat, and it was the same. So, what gives? Everyone out there who has a Bride, can you please confirm, that your tag says made in Japan. Also, to anyone who has an actual Ergo II, in their s13, can you take a picture of how close the side bolster is to the ebrake? My ebrake handle sits right next to my bottom bolster. It's retarded. I'll post up pics when I get home tonight.

Ok, here are the pictures. Some pictures are really blurry, but they should give you guys a general idea.

This last picture is to show how close my seat is to the ebrake. If anyone has an ergo II, in an s13, please confirm. I think it's pretty stupid that my seat is that close to my ebrake.

Hope that helps, that's supposed to be from the mouth of Bride itself.

So, my seats are authentic zip-tied Brides. I mean I got mad love for zip-ties, but this is taking it to another level.

What about the fact that my tag doesn't even say, made in Japan?

Why would they? My Recaro SPG tag says "Made in Germany FIA cert 1995"

Those are some pretty convincing fakes though.

I bought a Gucci wallet in Thailand. Made from the same material Gucci uses, says "Gucci made in Italy" and everyone thinks it's Gucci....

fakers.... fuck it man who cares (unless you paid authentic price), you obviously weren't buying them for competition or you'd have bought certified seats so if you're just going for the look, it's there.

You say that they are convincing fakes, why? Because, of the tag? I still haven't received any confirmation.

Same question to you applies. The reason why it's bothering me, is that I was in the market for authentic seats. If I wanted replicas, I wouldn't have paid 1200 dollars for seats.
Anyhow, if they are fake, the seller is in for a big surprise. That's all I have to say.

unfortunately you may have to chalk this experience up as a learning experience... the only way you're gonna know FOR SURE if they are real or not is by buying them from a authorized distributor. People can look at picture of them all day long and say yes they are real, or not they are fake, but I am willing to be fakes exist in this world that you can't really tell from the real ones just by looking... if you're in the market for authentic seats, pay authentic prices from a distributor man, don't take chances like this. I think you're one of the guys who bought from the guy in Australia who was also trying to sell the Trust Gearbox... That guy was shady man, I would put my money on those seats being fake... real Bride's DEFINITELY DO NOT have zipties holding the seat skins on.

If those are real Bride seats, I'll never buy a Bride seat. I dunno man.. Theres just something about that quality.. Its like saying look at my new Infinity and looking at Hyundai quality.. The stitching on a new seat should be nice and straight, not wandering.. I would try to get your money back...

Yes, this was and still is a learning experience. Me and my friend were talking about these seats, and these are his thoughts. Maybe these seats, were the seats that didn't pass quality inspection. So, they were sold through Yahoo auctions, which is where the seller claimed he bought the seats. Anyhow, i've had the seats for a couple of months now. I heard that fakies fade really fast, so we shall see.

another possibility is that they are real bride seat skins that didn't pass quality inspection and one of their employees got ahold of them and put them on whatever else kind of seat frame they could find which is why they are attached shoddily and don't have authentic frames....
