LiL help. 89 240sx

Ok here is the problem and I hope that u can help.. I have a 1989 240sx for some reason when I take a turn my dome light comes on? would any one know what would cause that? any thing but to take it to the dealer and have them charge me a arm and a leg.. Thanks all

does it happen if you turn AND you use your turn signal?

or does it happen if you turn without using your turn signal?

don't take it to the dealer, figure it out, get a multimeter.

it only happends when i turn hard. left or right, with or with out me useing the turn signals so we just call it a drift light. :naughty: :naughty:

Does it turn off after the turn? If so it may be a sensor in the door thinking the doors open.

yes it cuts off when im out of the turn. funny thing if i heel toe it go in fast it wont cut on. but if u just make a normal turn the light is on.. but then again im looking at the road and not paying any mind to the light so..

Check the switch in the door and the switch on the dome first.

If nothing comes of it, trace the wires from the dome to wherever they go, jiggling them every once and a while in different places until you find your short since the light will turn on. You'll have to do it with the car on or with the accessories on but it shouldn't take too long hopefully.
