you need to learn how to say "93" in punjabi/turkish/indian/hindi/korean/and in rare cases mexican.

Fail joke. Punjabi is one of the indian languages, mexican is an ethnicity, not a language. UGH.

Putting octane booster in is pretty pointless. For what, so you can make it 87.5? haha.

Is your car modded fairly high or tuned? If not, don't trip. If so, pump some 105 in the or at the least some 91/93.

The real question is what gas station did you fill your car up with? I hope it was something like 76 and not Rotten Robbies. Or Nasty Phlips Fill um up. :keke:

you will be fine just keep adding 93 or go to sunoco and get race fuel from the pump...I wonder if you guys have that?
Here on the East Coast, NH we have 100 oct at the pump...like $6 a gallon...I perfer VP 109~ $10 a gallon...lol...Burns real clean!
ALl in all you'll be fine,,,no biggie!

what so hard about getting octane booster? Seriously...

You are afraid that lower octane will harm your car.. .Go pay 10 bucks for 2 bottle of decent octane booster...

pump your own gas! lol

thats illegal in many states because its easier to steal gas when youre the one filling up

i believe some expensive octane boosters can add several "points" and just dont be doing any :2f2f:

haha...but add the NJ accent onto it ;)

Yea just drive it out.

Funny how people are shocked when they hear that NJ is a full service everywhere state...

no 240sx dont have gas tank drain plugs. I know a lot of hondas and toyotas have them.

You will be fine if you just fill the rest with 93. Just drive easy on it but I honestly wouldn't worry about it.

oh, i'm sorry, i didn't know i was in English class. you forgot to mention i didn't raise my hand...

Since you took the time to point out the mistakes i made, there are a couple different grammatical errors in the italicized text below which are quoted from you verbatim.

The real question is what gas station did you fill your car up with?

my reply: i didn't know you can put an entire gas station in a car.

If so, pump some 105 in the or at the least some 91/93.

my reply: pump some 105 in the or???

In conclusion, before making a remark on someone's post for mistaking Punjabi as a language, i highly suggest YOUR post be absolutely perfect.

go down to sherwan williams. or home depo.

ask for a gallon of toluene or xylene.

now get a pink cup also ( measuring cup)

get a tank of gasoline, the emergency ones, mix in 93 and a pint of thinner,
put in your tank and enjoy high octane ;)

btw with a pint you should yield about 97 octane, theres a thread i made looong time ago, search race gas tech

dont we have drain plugs?

^^this is a good point, but i wasn't aware of it.

i have never performed this, nor have i heard of anyone else:

an alternative could be to detach the fuel line going into the fuel filter, and rig up some wiring to power the fuel pump from the battery directly. And in theory, pump the gas out until it's empty?

And of course observe environmental regulations and proper disposal techniques.

What??? Ever hear of pay first or credit card only??? Just seems weird. I haven't seen a full service station like that in about 10 years. Must be all on the upper east coast. Just drove through 5 midwest states today and didn't see a single one.

Damn, I didn't know that Jersey was filled with elitists that are too good to pump their own gas.

I bet you drink your beers with your pinky raised, too, don't you? :D

J/K

You should be fine, but add some octane booster if it'll help make you less paranoid.

yeah i fucking hate jersey for that

while i was up there last time visiting my gf, i had a guy fill up my wrx (tbe, intake, raised boost and more aggressive ECU tune)

I told him I needed premium and he replied "you sure you need all that in this rice burner?"

i told him pump my gas and shut the fuck up

I remember that thread. I went out and dumped a gallon of that crap in about half a tank. It made the exhaust sound deeper and for some reason ran smoother. lol :bigok:

if you tune for it you get great gains

Actually, that works. F1 racing had used toluene *sp?* for quite some time in the 80's when they were running 700 hp off of 1500CC turbocharged motors. :)

Have a chat with the manager on duty next time that happens and be sure to mention who said the comment.

I used to work at a gas station in PA, that was half full-serve. People would go nuts, especially when i told them it was 15 cents more per-gallon.

Methanol will significantly increase your octane but you have to be careful not to put in too much... This can also help when you get gasoline with condensation in it...

bamaboy
09-11-2007, 10:02 AM
you want get better mileage because your engine will not run at it's best with 87 in it. You will be fine you just won't be able to make as much boost.

its still gas dawg...
+1 on the octane booster

a lil more stress on the motor but once wont hurt..
shifting at 2k.. LOL.. must be driving like a semi truck

add octane booster.

octane booster raises cylinder temps

you might as well pee in your gas tank

it might be safer

its dangerous and useless and will only make the car run hotter and maybe even blow up if yourboosted depending on the booster

add a gallon of VP 100 octane.
