UNION CITY, Ga. - A McDonald's employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer's burger was too salty, so salty that he says it made him sick.

Kendra Bull was arrested Friday, charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1,000 bail.

Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who "tried to thump the salt off."

On her break, she ate a burger made with the salty meat. "It didn't make me sick," Bull told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

But then Police Officer Wendell Adams got a burger made with the oversalted meat, and he returned a short time later and told the manager it made him sick.

Bull admitted spilling salt on the meat, and Adams took her outside and questioned her, she said.

"If it was too salty, why did (Adams) not take one bite and throw it away?" said Bull, who has worked at the restaurant for five months. She said she didn't know a police officer got one of the salty burgers because she couldn't see the drive-through window from her work area.

Police said samples of the burger were sent to the state crime lab for tests.

City public information officer George Louth said Bull was charged because she served the burger "without regards to the well-being of anyone who might consume it."

Haha, why not just throw it away if you spill salt on it.

As if the average McDonalds worker has to worry about the profit loss of it.

I just read that, hahahah...

it's true though, I HATE getting stupidly salty fries, not just because I might get sick, but because I don't eat them, so I waste money, and I'm still hungry, which defeats the purpose of going out in the 1st place...

Are you serious...I mean a fine would be sufficient no need to take her to jail for a salty burger.

food service employees + dumb cop= haha.

seriously, why wouldn't you 1) throw it away and 2) ask for a new one?

they both deserve a slap in the face.

My mind is int he gutter. Not what I was thinking.

I don't think she should have went to jail for it though. Knuckle head shouldn't have ate the whole thing if he didn't like it.

Georgia + Cops = Hilarity

My friend moved down to Georgia a couple of months ago to enroll in an Paramedic school they're teaching down there.

He's told me a bunch of stories about Georgia cops.

Hmm...let's see

-The former county sheriff murdering the newly elected sheriff.
-A group of cops killing another police officer in the department after he had slept with another officer's wife.
-Cops gunning down a seventy or eighty year old lady after entering her house on a no knock warrant.

Yeah, I think Georgia cops are giving LA cops a run for their money.

Managers are usually dicks about it, and don't care whats going on with the meat as long as its somewhat presentable. I have a friend that worked at taco bell and found a cow's eye in the meat. The manager told him to take the eye out and serve it anyways. My friend decided to throw away the meat and get more.. he later got fired for this.

*EDIT
Don't want to make a general assumption, just stating what i've seen from my own experiences.

The cop was being a dick, end of story,

if somethings up with your food report it to the health department,

they will do further investigation, not the fucking Crime Lab,

what a fucking joke,

Id laugh his ass outta the mcdonalds.

Ive inspected many of fast food joints for the San Bernardino Public health department.

you see some rank ass shit.
