i30 vs s-14

so my friend was driving his 99 i30t with a maxima engine i believe with the same power 190 hp no mods about 30k miles, now this car has been babied since it was brought home, so it hasnt been driven very hard and my car with 75k miles on it being driven hard most of its life with an auto trans, 3 inch catback and intake.... now we got on it from a start and we started and were dead even, i inched ahead a bit then he got up next to me at about 60 and was half a car length ahead of me at 90mph...... i had a passenger he didnt, and i also have about 70 lbs of stereo equip in the trunk...... im pretty happy with my cars performance, but how in the hell didn't he beat me? if this should be in off-topic forgive me but im really impressed with my 240 today, anyone kno the numbers for an i30t? 0-60? and 1/4 mile?

well its still basically the same care just with the spoiler and suspension and rims, but n e ways its a i30T

Those are What www.car-Stats.com have. &nbsp;So a 240 should be right there close to it. &nbsp;I all ways thought I30T's were quicker than that.

I dunno but him beating makes sense. &nbsp;His has more WHP or whatever you call it....you know horsepower at the wheel. &nbsp;His car is newer, the engine is bigger, higher top speed, maybe he has more torque and different gearing. &nbsp;Just picture your car against a Maxima and know that you didn't have a chance from the start. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp; j/p

I wonder what the Gearing is like on the I30's? &nbsp;Seems like the numbers should be better than that to me. &nbsp;but this is also a "Family Sadan" so I'm sure they weren't thinking about how fast it does the 1/4 mile when they built it.

yah i believe they're heavier than maximas too but the fact that my car is an auto makes me pretty happy with the performance
