not a 240 but still a car, lexus es300
-car died out of no where
-alternator taken to autozone, passed the test
-new battery bought, ended up being dead
-car jumped, turns on, pressed gas, died.
-bottom of battery tray is a little wet, no battery tie down
Ideas?

Check the grounds on the alt and the battery. The alt could be fine mechanically, but with a crappy ground not work right.
Did you find where water is getting into the battery tray? sure its not acid that leaked out?

test on the leads of the battery wires for alt voltage when idling.
Might be a bad check light wire, and cuts the alt as soon as you rev it up.

it probably spilled because you overfilled it.
if your acid levels are low, you dont have enough to react with the lead plates that are in the battery to make power.
