SR20DET Pass VA Emissions ?

Has anyone been able to get an SR20DET equiped S13 to pass Virginia emissions ? I was trying to buy a 240 out of state when I realized that I would have to do emissions withing 14 days of purchasing the car. I dont want to invest the money on a swapped car if I cant get it legalized. If anyone out there has managed to get thiers to pass please let me know. Also let me know if there was anything special that had to be done to make it happen. Thanks

what emmisions? keep your catalytic converter on the exhaust you plan on running. we dont have emmisions in richmond

I live in Northern Virginia, we have emissions every two years, and if you buy a used car that came from out of state and was not tested there you have to have it tested within 14 days. I dont think the sniffer test will be an issue but the visual might. I am trying to find someone in the NOVA area that has successfully gotten a swap to pass. DMV only gives you a 30 day registration until you get it to pass.

Ok, good news, if I have read the Va laws correctly if the car has already been emissions inspected in the state that I purchase it from then I am good for one year from date of purchase. Need to verify this by calling DMV tomorrow, if that is the case then I might have a 240 next weekend
