Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes. I just picked up an SR and I need to find a good reputable shop to help me with my rebuild. For sure i'm going to need the head to be machined, but i'm thinkin about trying to have a shop help me with the complete rebuild. I dont want to screw something up while trying to do it myself.

If anyone knows of a shop that works on SR's in the Sacramento area, please let me know. thanx in advance.

I don't know of a shop that works specifically on Sr's in Sac, but I do know a reputable machine shop that a buddy of mine ALWAYS goes to when he is rebuilding motors... He's out of town this weekend but if you don't mind waiting till Monday I'll get the name of the shop for you.

Dont know if your willing to drive to Napa, but theres a shop called TEM that does rebuilding. Pretty cool shop but wont be cheap since they build race engines...
