I wanted to know, what is rep power, and how do you use it? I tried searching, but rep is too short of a word. Power on the other hand, had too many matches.

I got this one, James/Dook
To add/remove from a user's rep, you click this button under their name: http://www.zilvia.net/f/images/buttons/reputation.gif
When you select "I approve," their rep will be given in a positive manner, adding as many points as your "rep power" is shown to be.
If you click "I disapprove," now you MUST enter a comment with said disapproval, and the user's rep will be DECREASED by ONE HALF the amount shown in your "rep power..."
You gain rep power through three elements:
Tenure: For every CALENDAR year you're on the forum (meaning every January 1st), your rep power grows one point.
Reputation: For every 100 (one hundred) whole rep points you gain, you get one point.
Posts: For every 1000 (one thousand) posts, you gain one point.
Once your rep dips below a certain point (which I am yet unaware of) your green squares become red and your "rep power" is, by default, zero until you cross back into the good.

"REP" is short for "Reputation".
Type that into a Search and try again.
For best results, do an Advanced Search, and only look in the "Forum Suggestions & Technical Support" section of the Forums.
You will find all the answers you seek on this subject, and learn how to Search more accurately for a topic.

You have a Rep Power of 5, which is correct, since you've been on here for 5 years. Reputation is what others leave you.

Rep is what makes you cool to the internet. It's like "hey this guy has a lot of rep, I don't know why he does or how he got it, but he does so that means he's cool so I won't flame him..."

No, no, no.
Rep is an electronic gauge that measures the size of your e-penis.
By all accounts my e-penis is larger than the majority of the members of this forum but nowhere near as large as Barry or Phlip's anaconda or some of the other premie members.
To give you an idea of just how large Barry and Phlips e-penis is, if either one of them whipped it out, their e-penis would circle the earth twice over!*
*True Fact.

Wow, then I guess that means that I have an e-penis that is bigger than most. I thought my life-balls were big, but now I have all the equipment. yay.

Rep has its good points and it's bad. The only problem I have with rep is the abuse that goes on with it.

Wrong, I didn't have that earlier today, two people gave me rep after I made that post, I was at zero when I made the post.

No you got neg rep because you said that zilvia was slow.
No one likes to hear their favorite site is slow.
That's why you got neg rep.

You have to have more than 25 rep points for the other rules to take effect.

Like Azndoc said, you posted a groundless thread with shaky evidence about how Zilvia was slow. It wasn't terribly well thought-out or even provable. My argument ended in that thread though.
No you got neg rep because you said that zilvia was slow.

There were only a few people that admitted the site was slow and everyone else deny it because "it was there favorite site".
That's like saying America is my favorite country and it doesn't need any work because it's your favorite and that's all that matters.
How is Zilvia or America going to get any better thinking like that? When your ready to handle the truth like a man come talk to me.

you pinged from an outside country your evidence was weaker than mine. try browsing the website when there is a low amount of members on

so wait... I'm still kinda confused, is the number relavant to the green bars you have? cuz sometimes I see members with the same about of green bars, but yet one member has a higher number or vice versa... idunno... maybe I'm seeing things?

The number of green bars will cap out, because honestly they'd take up a whole page and the hosting/loading of them would severely cripple the speed of the site.

no i know that, but for example... Nismo_sr20 and Speedgod both have the number 5 next to their green bars, yet one has more green bars than the other

Those bars come from rep received only, are not tied to rep power other than the close relation of such

No thanks, Im trying to be more positive. Who knows I might even pay for a membership and see what all the fuss is on the blue side.
Hey mrmephistopheles can you negative rep me?! Just curious to see what would happen to be rapped by that much e-penis. :bite:
