My second event, but it was great.
Seemed like there was too many people in the beginner group though.

Yeah, there were a lot of beginners out there which makes things kind of slow since people spin a lot. We can't stop beginners from registering because we want people to come out and learn so if you think you might be better than the other beginners, join the intermediate group but try not to spin all day.
I remember when I started I was in the beginner group and it was slower as well but it's inspiration to step up your game and move up a level. I noticed a lot of the beginners weren't talking to each other in the staging lane either. That makes the event more fun and you can talk to each other about your driving and what kind of things to do to drive better.
I'm going to talk to charlie about it but it might even be faster to have the beginners stage on the back turn during the second half of the day and you guys could go one at a time on the main turn. It might speed things up a lot.
actually fly is right, making friends at the tracks and sharing stuff is what makes you learn together as well. but it was my mistake, i was so busy i forgot to close registration. we usually don't allow more than 25 drivers per day. we'll make it up to you guys... that will never happened again. it was a hectic week for us... next time! but i hope you all learned something that day. thanks to all the instructors for stepping it up!

it's all good a bunch of us were just surprised at how crowded it was, haha. i met some chill people near where i had my pit set up.
i liked at how at the end the beginner group was allowed to try the big loop. i almost had it by my last run :hsdance:
Can we have chances again in the following events to try the intermediate course at the end of the day?
btw, if anyone remembers guy in the red s13 coupe that bent his tie rod (i think his name was francis), his car continued to fall apart the rest of the way home to SD :-/ . he left our caravan a little later and i'm curious as to if he got home ok.

Sure I'll share the few of what I have. I took one of my buddies out and it was his first experience around drifting (never went to an event before). He was rather giddy with the camera. Not any action shots. I'm sure someone on here does though.

Red s13 lost his exhaust before the event...followed by his cat on the way home. i believe his downpipe was dragging the whole way back to SD.

where did you get the trailer?
gotta240
10-06-2007, 06:58 AM
first one i used was a modified jet ski trailer... The one i took last time was a harbor freight, assemble yourself trailer... With a wood box i threw together on top of it...
The trailer is the easy part....making/finding a hitch that works was more tricky for me.
