ok i searched and all that comes back is battery relocation to the trunk. i seen a write up on here of how to move your battery to the the right side where the intake is and you can put your true cold air intake there.
i would do this myself however i dont know if i need two wires for the red fuse box ( i guess thats what it is ) on the positive terminal and one for the power.:ugh:
one last question can i use 4 gauge power speaker wire, it looks thick enough but my step dad said you need wire that is especially for that.

The wires on the positive are the power. the other one is for the ground, you probably dont want to mix those up haha
stereo power wire is fine, and its most likely of a better quality than what you would buy in a kit anyways. If possible go with OFC (oxygen free copper) and use quality terminals.
Edit: Use the directions from the write ups you found, but just mount the battery the spot you want. the important connections should all be the same

Same prosedure as relocating to the trunk exept you;re going to the other side of the engine bay. it should be pretty simple.

Please in your term define a TRUE cold air intake.
Thanks.

With only 1 post, Im going to guess he means Honda-boy intake.:ugh:
Going to spend 50bux on a mod thats going to yield no real power gains. :keke:

^^^^ yep yep most likely ha ha drive that intake down to the fender well for some REAL COLD AIR! or probably Ram Air idk lol they both sound ricer.

there is not point in relocating the battery to the driver side. The whole point of the battery being on the passenger side is to balance out the weight. If you move the bettery to the driver side, you are just putting more weight on one side. Either leave it where it is or relocate to the trunk.

Shut the god damn hell up.
Wtf does this have to do with the topic at hand???
No wonder when I search for a tech post on here all I get mindless babble and circle jerking.
For fucks sake just answer the guys questions. SHIT. Go take you're little ego-jerk off session somewhere else.
If I were you OP, I would just move it to the trunk or forget the cold air intake.
The gains made by the intake are going to be minimal. Probably not worth the effort.
If you ever plan on going turbo down the road, now would be a good opportunity to move your battery to the trunk. This way your engine bay is clear for FMIC piping. Also moving the battery to the trunk helps eliminate some of the clutter in the engine bay.

How does that sound ricer? Anyway...
u1fastwhitelude, as it's been said already, you'd be putting more weight on the driver's side (you + battery). The hp gained by it isn't worth the time. Just get a regular intake.

1. what i mean by true cold air is putting the intake where the battery is and removing the vent on the bumper (if that is even going to help) even so there is still cold air goin through the filter and not hot engine bay air like with all these other intakes that go over the radiator WTF.
2. yea i drive a honda so what :mrmeph:its a prelude with 300000 miles and still runs good except for little body damage and there good cars SO :fawk2: YOu.
3. i bought this car as a DD while i turbo my lude thats is if the ka24det bug dont bit me. i have loved the look of the 240sx but damn that intake manifold is something else, took me 2 hours last night to get a racket out of it that i drop. still love it. but the gasket for the valve cover was difficult to put back on cuz the front and back had silicon on it so i fucked up my freshly paint VC putting it on.
4. stop hatin on honda there both from over seas so why must we hate on each other. just encase you didnt get the memo, We HATE ON DOMESTICS. carborated POS LOL
5. thanks for the tips about the battery however im still confused about the red box on the pos. terminal so i guess i will take it to a professional cuz i dont need this 8th grade trash talkin bullshit.

lol. the last 9 posts were a bunch of crap. wow..... it wont throw the weight off in your car. its like 20lbs.... it will give you more power, BUT only a small 1-3% gain at redline. if you want to do it go for it. theres nothing wrong with customizing your car the way you want it. and the the whole ricer comment. i have tons of bodykits on nissans.

yes i know that, the gen before mine was a carb engine. i was being sarcastic cuz so many people down people for what they drive. me personally i just like cars that are souped up and bad ass doesnt mater to me who made it. i just have my favorites and dont clown on peps for there choice. i bought this car for me not you, so if you like what im doing eat your asshole.... you did see the LOL at the end right? :tweak:
i wasnt putting everyone in the bull shit category i know there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here that know alot about the nissans and then there are the teens on here that think their car is the shit and that they should make funn of people cuz they didnt do it like them.
I would be happy with just a plain jane sleeper. No body kit, no stickers, no wing, no chrome, no neons and no wild ass paint. just give me a rb26tt a clean ass interior and ill be STRAAAAAiGHT driftin all day.
BTW thanks for the warm welcome to zilvia

if you're going to go through the trouble of moving the battery, i suggest moving it to the trunk instead

QFT.
Trunk or behind passenger seat (to reduce polar moment and get battery lower) are the only two places it should be.
Trunk would also increase rear bias, allowing faster launches if you're into that :keke: stuff.

i was thinking about doing the same thing .. but then i crashed my baby... but i would move it to the trunk otherwise it isnt really worth it.
