PW: Sen. Chuck Schumer: Maligning and Denigrating Our Troops. Again

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is the biggest ass in the Senate.

He’s trying to make the case that even though the surge is working, neither our President nor the troops deserve any credit:

"The violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge. The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from al Qaeda, said to these tribes: “We have to fight al Qaeda ourselves.”

I've never served in the military, but know many people who have, along with many of the members here on Zilvia who are in the military, but statements like this just piss me off.

People like this make me wish their kids are in the military serving in the Iraq...
Its funny how the ones that talk shiet about whats going on over there are the ones who never bothered to go there themselves and see whats really going on. They all believe everything they see thru the media and since nothing good is ever reported, thats all they believe in. They should make senators/representatives go to Iraq and see things for themselves.

I think that you should be required to be in the military and serve in some war at some point before you are allowed to run for Congress. That way at least the people that make judgments about being in or starting a war think twice before being in or starting one. Friends of mine have died there, and it pisses me off to see these retarded ass people make statements like this.

With a requirement like that I forsee this country starting wars just to get enough people to qualify for congressional service!

Democrat or republican, I think its safe to say that that the congress, judicial and executive branch are ALL tools and couldn't stick to one position if they wanted to.
Schumer, like everyone else, says what he says because of politics and I'm not sure anyone should read much more into it than that. It simply isn't worth your while.
