hey guys,
my front coilovers are VERY stff...i think its the pre-load either being too loose or too tight.when i jack it up,the chassis goes up about 2 inches then the wheels,so i think its drooping alot.would i need to up the pre-load?thanks!!

you say the preload is too loose or tight, then you say you are running alot of spring droop. huh?
its very easy to tell the difference
droop = you jack up the corner and the spring is loose
preload = you jack up the corner and the spring is partially compressed, even with no load on the coilover
if you have no idea what you're doing set the perch such that the spring is seated firmly on the perch with no droop and no preload. adjust ride height by shock body length. and get an alignment

im not drooping,it just like,'sinks' alot, and thats causing it to have little suspension travel.i set up the pre-load like you mentioned already and same thing
and when i said drooping,i ment sink..,.same difference=)

maybe it'd be better if you told us what kind of coilovers you have
or provide a picture
honestly, the wheel not moving much when you jack up the car is normal for coilovers.

Well, what is your spring rate? They may just be designed to be "VERY" stiff.
Also, make sure you have zero preload and report back if that makes things any smoother. I hope you're not trying to manipulate ride height through preload alone.

there 6/8 i believe.and no,im not trying to adjust ride height with pre-load.
