S14 Sr20 in S14. "Professionally" swapped:rant2:, 6k miles ago. Blew this oil return hose (new hose in pic)

Oil then sprayed directly onto my T28. I hoped for the best replaced the hose and cleaned all oil from the bay.

Started her up. Drove around the block, hit boost and the biggest whitish cloud came out of the exhaust. NO strange noises or smells besides that of the smell the cloud made which smelled like burning oil. Took of the Inlet Elbow and this is what I saw.

On a good note: I felt no shaft play in the turbine, this image might help you get an idea of how "good" the turbo is.

And because I know you all are going to ask. Yes there is oil in the intercooler.

So my question is this; Where do I go from here? Do I need to replace the entire turbo, or can it be saved. Is this something anyone can do or do I need to take it to a "professional?"

I wish I knew more and could get you headed in the right direction, but I don't. Although, if I were you I might start by trying to seal off one end the intercooler and hooking the other end up to a shop vac to get some of that oil out.

good idea. Better then what I was doing. I just took intercooler off and tipped it on its side draining it that way, but I like the shop vac idea better. Should I put any kind of chemical cleaner in there. I was thinking brake cleaner since that cleans everything.
