sr20det 92 i think
S15 turbo
HKS Actuator
FMIC
650 Injectors
q45 MAF and Bilts Air filter
Trust down pipe
3.5 cat back
12-15psi
Apex head gasket <so you know im safe>
95 at least octane, i run 100 to be safe it loves it
Adjustable fuel pressure at 40 psi
255 fuel pump
300z tt fuel filter
Mines Stage 3 for 95 octane and above, ECU set up for 550 injectors, z32 MAF and everything else i have above...

What should the initial settings be?
If you can hook me up i got $ for you..
Or install it..

wouldnt it be pointless to piggyback on a tuned ecu? But i also dont know much about this.

Na i wanted a ECU for all my mods then i wanted a SAFC II to fine tune it in at will. I can set for Touge, Drift, or highway.. Closest thing i can do beside stand a lone....
There are setting on the SAFC II for Tuned ECUS...
Just wanted to hear some things.
Im going to just drop it off at a shop near by i can trust. I will be there to watch.. Lots of people say this and that but after racing and working on Seadoos, Sandrails, Hondas, Mustangs and building them all hybrids i kinda know what to look for. Hence i never broke down and all my cars last at events with no problems at all..
Just never messed with the SAFCII
thanks

Pretty much.

You mean tunes for bombs, explosions, and disasters. You have nothing near a standalone.

Your best bet is to sell the SAFC, and the Mines ECU, and get something setup for the US Market (Enthalpy, JWT ecu come immediatly to mind)

There is nothing that's catastrophic about using a safc. It's the retards who try and tune without a wideband.

The reason he is choosing to run the safc and the rom tuned ecu is so that he can fine tune the settings. The ecu removes the factory limitations and leans the car out in a few spots safely. But air density and what not is different all over. So with a wideband and his safc he could get a little more out of his car.

Now trying to compare that setup to a wideband is a far stretch but whatever.

Yeah im getting the AEM Wideband before i do anything.
I should of got a stand a lone. But since my real silvia was fine with the ECU im good for now. I am probly the only one running 100 octane on my daily. I know you cant compare a stand a lone but i can tune in the rich and lean it out some spots instead of it pooring out gas at idle. And i can run my q45 maf to.. Just wanted to see. I might sell both if it isnt what i wanted..
thanks again for the imput...

Are the Zmaf and Qmaf the same? To me, figuring waht to set the IN/OUT on the SAFC will be the issue. If its the same voltage between the 2 maf, then set the SAFC IN/OUT to 1-1 since the ECU is already set for the maf. If not, have fun with figuring that one out. I only know what to set the SAFC for a Zmaf on a un-rom tuned ECU.

a safc cant control over 550cc injectors, even with a rom tune. correct?

Well see he got a rom tuned for 550cc injectors, basicaly 50% of that is the limit for the SAFC now. His ECU isnt tuned for the the stock 370cc injectors.

Yeah its weird i did a write up just now on the install on the SAFC II. No body has it just right so i wrote one up. Also i know all cars are going to have diffrent setups but everyone i have read or talked to is wrong. My hotwire right now on the SAFC II is set to 5-5. And its perfect. That is a stock setting for a s14 sr20det with stock ecu. Well you know i have a mines for 550cc and i have 650cc so thats why i have the SAFC II and i dont have the Q45 MAF on but its super easy to figure it out. I will try 2-5 then diffrent settings. I am not running the car that much untill i get my wideband. Of course i cant find one right now and im super rich. Its a daily driver but i am not driving it right now...
Its very rich becuase of the 650ccs...
Go check out my right up on the SAFC II.. Leave me some browny points thanks again. GOing to put on the Q45 MAF today...

The AEM is way more money than its comparable companions. The aem is also plagued with timing errors etc.

Thanks let me look into that.
Q45 MAF and Blitz air filter to match went right on. 1 in 6 out.. Perfect.. Love the SAFC II...
thanks for the info im learning a lot. I build up Seadoos, Sandrails, Hondas, and 240sx for myself all are hybrids but never delt with SAFC II. I hate electrical stuff but this is not bad....

If you read the page, you would've found what you are looking for:

No, the neo does not do AFR

Gauge $80
Module with bosch sensor $195
Total $275

AEM wideband around the same..

$375

The SAFC does not have a wideband display because it is a pile. The neo does not either. If you are SET on using an AFC btw, The SAFC II is better than the NEO.

I know stand a lone is the shit. I am good if my car is a little faster then my silvia.. Just need some power for touge and drifts.... Then i am good. I just need my cams now and im set. You have a dyno? I have been in the seen for a long time longer then most due to age, i have seen Jerry race his hondas i have seen Dr Charles race his, lots of good and bad shops. They come and go all day long. You should of seen the shop that was going to do my SAFC II install what a fking joke.. There like we can t tape in on and you dont have to reset the settings. lol Even though i just got it from a totaly dif car... JOKE!!
By the way im moving to Irvine....

I dont understand how you can do that.

all you can really do it adjust AF voltage to mimic a change in AFR through the range of the map while also butchering your tps valued correlated timing changes.

Bring it to me , Ill tune it for you.

No if the ecu is tuned for 555 cc you could theoretically run even larger.

Its 50% larger than whatever you have in range.

Its more about AFM capacity than the AFC itself or the fuel supply though

Cool i got 650cc on my Mines Ecu that is set for 555cc. I have a pressure regulator to. Were are you for tunning? Still need wide band...
thanks for you input i thought the same on the injectors...

Cool just so happen to come across a PLX with gauge for $150 winner!!! Installed is easy so now what...lol JK i might end up with a stand-a-lone... We will see. So far im rich as hell....Not going to mess with it. Any one tune well i will pay?
