Diff Flush

I've been getting mine done with every oil change. &nbsp;I run full synthetic and have it changed every ~4000 miles. &nbsp;I just had it done again this week and the guy at the garage told me it had metal flakes in it(diff fluid).... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nervous.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':nervous:'>

Hrm...IIRC tranny and diff are only supposed to have to be done every 15k. &nbsp;I do tranny/diff every 15k and engine every 2500-3000. &nbsp;Umm metal "flakes" sounds REALLY bad...however some small shards, almost metal hairs is normal in the tranny...dono about the diff.

DSC: Thanks for the response. &nbsp;Do you think it could be bad for the tranny/diff to have them flushed as often as I do??

Don't think it can be bad for anything but your wallet. &nbsp;Just get some good synthetic fluid and let it be for the next 15-30k miles. &nbsp;I think the service interval might actually be 60k anyway. &nbsp;Unless of course this is a dedicated race car that requires frequent fluid changes. &nbsp;You might think of doing the trans too, if you haven't already. &nbsp;They use the same fluid (manual trans does anyway).
