Best bet is to have it rebuilt. Fastest way to get your car back up.

+1

google a llttle and you will be able to find a website or two that sell the parts needed for a rebuild... hell some of the shops out there that do rebuilds are able to find the stuff faster.

yeah like the previous person said, its one off, sentra sr and ka 240 wont work.

If it's clicking it sound like your battery is dead.

not a starter.... deff sounds like battery or alternator. good thing for you stock 240 alternators work, all you have to do is drill out one hole.

I hate how people associate a starter problem with the alternator. They ARENT directly related. A bad alternator will kill the battery and in turn, not be able to start the car. A battery can kill itself because its emo, and the car will not start. Alternator will still be good.

First check batter with a load tester. Some auto stores do this free. It will determine if you battery can be revived or not. Then they should also be able to check your alternator to make sure its in working order, while still on the car.

Ive said this numerous times. If you want a rebuilt starter and dont want to hassle with getting the original rebuilt, go to any auto store and have them cross reference the number on your original starter, if its there. Something WILL come up and they should be able to get it. I did this before for a couple people at my old work, but I dont know the part numbers. In this case you will also receive some type of warranty, usually lifetime with receipt.
