I am going to go check out a s14 tomorrow that I may buy.. It's clean all around except for the throttle position sensor. The guy said it should be okay for awhile since he only started to get the check engine light but it should be replaced ASAP. Just wondering how hard it is to do a reinstall and what I should look out for on the car. Also what could happen if the TPS is disconnected?

Two screws and a plug, five minutes total to replace it.

May not idle, stall out, or run real rich, given any throttle input may stall, run in fail safe or timing mode

most the time you have to remove the throttle body from the intake manifold because the tps wont come all the way out due to a coolant hose that sits real close to the tps area.
