Not sure if we can say what we use to get music, but I haven't used LimeWire (or FrostWire) in ages. Your computer could have crashed for a different reason.

I have limewire.
No problems..
i have over 3000 songs to.
Just be carefull, and dont download anything that looks shady. I usually stick to downloading stuff with alot of hosts.

Limewire is shit.

There are better file-sharing programs out there. And you don't even have to worry about virus or spyware issues.

PM for details.

Ok...Limewire still seems to be one of the most prominent sharing software out there. I really enjoy it to this day...but never leave it open too long just like its grandfather Kazaa, or you will end up like your old computer and my comp before i reformatted it. now how much of that was due to porn vs music...well i'm probably in your boat there, hahahah. But yeah I feel your pain on the after effects of using it. Still worth it in my opinion, just watch it it. :)

Lol at that. If you were being serious its funny.
If you were being sarcastic, just as funny.

I used to have WINMX, that shit sucked. Too much porn, too many viruses, and once i downloaded a video of what I thought was an RX7 racing a turbo corvette... child porn.

got rid of that shit that night. ughhhh... i shudder even thinking about that.

I agree, I wouldn't recommend using any of those popular or new file-sharing programs. I personally use bit torrent

thats just wrong....

but in all seriousness, winmx did suck. I dont have many problems with limewire, but I dont use it too much either. Now that I have a good paying job I can buy real CD's

if you close it and it's still on the task bar it's still running all you basically did was minimize it either to the task bar or what I think you ment the system tray.

I seriously wouldn't recommend using limewire and others like it. Kazzaa, morpheus, winmx basically all of them suck

Torrents are where it's at. I heard works well. Limewire is soooo 2002.

Use uTorrent. Tasted great, less filling. Also use Avast for antivirus protection.

Napster is ghey. Morpheus is where it's at. Or Kazaa. Or KazaaLite.

I'm going to sign up on this new 'MySpace' website. I hear it's mostly for bands, but you can set up a profile page and connect with friends.

Serious section:

Zilvia is not a place to discuss filesharing/piracy/etc. There are GOBS of other sites to do so at. I won't deny that I was once a pirate, but I blame my involvement on the SPA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Publishers_Association). If it hadn't been for their 'Don't copy that floppy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xfqkdh5Js4)' PSA, I would never have attempted it and discovered how easy and painless it was to pirate software.
