Hey guys, I am signing the papers on my 96 240sx SE tomorrow!! Anyways, Im definately planning on swapping to an sr20 or ca18 but while im waiting would like to have some mods on the KA. What exactly can I do that when the time for swap comes, will be able to be used on it. Not much I guess besides suspension and cat-back. Does anything like intake/plug wires/anything fit the KA and the SR or CA? Thanks.

You can get a Short Shifter. &nbsp;Oh a shit knob &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp;A clutch that can handle SR's power can be used on the KA, but might be a waste of $$ if you dont get an SR. &nbsp; A cat-back for KA will not be great for an SR. &nbsp;Cat back for SR will be bigger in diamiter and would not be a great application for a KA unless you are going to go KA-T. &nbsp;LSD is another choice for both KA and SR. Ya, and suspension like you mentioned. Most mods are the little things though.

I would get an alarm if you car doesn't come with one (I'm pretty sure you are talking about mechanical mods, but its always good to have an alarm, KA or SR.)

Thanks for the input, this sucks though. Ill probably end up getting a K&N replacement drop-in filter. Its an automatic, im swapping to 5spd when I get the engine + tranny, there were absolutely NO 5spds within 500 miles of me, it sucked. So the shifter mods are out. But about the exhaust, I realize an N/A exhaust will be smaller, but I was actually planning on getting a turbo cat-back, it should bolt up if it was designed for the 200sx right? even with the stock engine N/A? WIll this actually gain me power n/a or just lower power b/c of the 3"+ diameter? if it lowers power pre-turbo then Ill just wait on it. Looks like Ill probably do the exhaust (if it keeps power) + replacement filter + good tires and 300zx brake upgrade. Thanks alot for the help. BTW it already has an LSD.

clutches aren't compatible betwen the two.

There's really nothing wrong with running a 3" exhaust on an N/A motor, it's just going to be loud, and all the gains will be on top.

If your car has high miles, you might think about getting a new high-flow cat.
