Maybe he should just give up driving entirely and just wrestle...like his dad!

very sad to see this happen, but seriously, the kid is 16, he shouldnt be drifting vipers or driving 600+hp supras. he should have drove a shitty truck like the rest of us so he could learn about DRIVING. then racing can come later.

+a million.
I am 31 and just now getting into 600+hp cars and this is after years of road racing and skippy schools. It just boogles my mind when I see teens with these high hp cars that mom and dad just give to them.
Man I hope they both make it out of the ICU. It doesn't look good though. I pray for them.

When Im older and have kids and have the money to buy them anything they want, the hell Im gonna give them 500+hp cars to drive around..... Actually I'd probably keep it slow and progress up. But you're right, I wouldn't expect the same from a younger kid. Hulk should definitley mae sure his son is driving a slower car next time - which brings me to my point, I bet he buys and builds a 240 hahaha!

Nick already has a 240 I remember he said something about it on his myspace page but hopefully all of his cars get sold.

08-27-2007, 02:17 PM
If it is Terrence's(hulk's) supra, its making 1200hp or so.But Terrence's is green, I think this is Nicks TRD widebody supra. What makes the car accident look alot worst is that they had to cut the car to take them out. I hate that people are saying he deserved it blah blah blah. We are humans we make mistakes, why should he be punished with death or the death of the passanger. No one deserves that unless they are drinking and driving and kill them selves.and even then. You can't blame Terrence, ("why would you let a 16 drive a 600HP ++ car") I understand if you said that about any normal kid, but Nick went to race car driving school has been driving cars for a long time and drifts "professionally" Nick is capable of knowing his limits and making decisions its not his dad's fault. He just pushed his limits and lost it. Nick is already out hopefully the passanger will be okay.
Best of luck to the Bollea family. and the passangers.
On a lighter note, at least the motor is still okay.
I think he already crashed his built 240

Of course i agree but you have those Who earn that spot who are under the whole family celebrity status without the help. They wanna prove they can do it without having the name and some survive.example of a fail status-ashley simpson aka lip synch. I know its a bad example but only thing i can think of at the moment. Then you got somene like janet jackson who made her way to the top without her bro. yes another bad example but true. If you tend to watch the episodes he just comes up like "oh i wanna be a drifter" to already qualifying for d1? yeah when your famous it can happen i guess like that.

Man that mess sucks. But even if he had a standard cage I thing it would have been just bad. I mean you have a 17-18yr kid driving a 600hp (correct me if I'm wrong) Supra. It's like when I used to hang out at Motorex and watch 17 yr kids roll off the lot in a R33 pushing 500 then bring them back after a week because they either burnt the clutch to s#%t or slammed the car into K rail. Like the man said "with great power comes great responsibility" I just hope he's OK and learns his lesson.

Wow. That sucks for Nick and all, but I agree with some on the point that Hulk has been too lenient on him. If you watch Hogan Knows Best at all, you'd know that they pretty much let Nick do whatever he wants, and Brooke is the one with all the rules.
He didn't get a good start driving. I saw one episode where he expressed interest in drifting, and by the next season he was driving at Formula D. Guys that we've all seen driving at his age that are good drivers started young, and they were taught along the way. A year or so isn't a good enough amount of time to learn to drive. To top that off, he drives these high-powered cars like he knows what he's doing, and then this happens.
I've also had my share of stupid accidents- I've lost 2 S13s that way. I have tickets still to pay off, and damages and all that. More than likely, Nick is just gonna walk away, and some poor bastard in the hospital is most likely gonna be sucking liquid Big Macs from a tube for the rest of his life.
I hope that the Florida police at least have some balls and let Nick take responsibility for what he did, the way that normal people with no money would have to.
But I do really hope that all is well with them.

you know i wouldnt pass them up, but when i took those advantages life gives me, i would be humble, i wouldnt walk around like a smug little jack ass. i mean he may say things to make some people think he is not, but actions speak louder than words and so does your body language and personality. i personally would be thanking everyone all the time if i was as lucky as he has been so far, i mean i would be like hey i owe it alll to my dad, i just want to thank all his fans for giving him the ability to make me so fortunate. but i have never heard the kid say thanks, or make it about the hulkster, everythigns always been about him. from what ive seen and read. i mean every interview i did if i was him , would have i want to thank my dads fans, not i wanna thank god, or i wanna become a formula d driver, or i want this. i totally understand all the hating, but like ive said i hope he is alright, and so is the passenger, i dont wish anyone death or suffering, that i dont know.

It doesn't really have anything to do with being a lil rich kid, it's more about being accountable for your actions, and realizing that no matter how much money you have, you still have to be responsible for your actions, and taking the consequences. Most normal people can't do that, and they're broke as hell. Having money and privileges, plus having this invincibility complex that comes with having money and privileges, doesn't save you from the outcome of the choices you make.

bullshit.
a good driver is a good driver, period. the track requires just as much restraint as the streets, maybe even more.
i've learned ALL my driving experience here on the streets, sliding up in mountains whatever. but at the track, you still have to have respect.. because you can still go off the track. sure, its a bit more safe.. right? not having a mountain side to fall off of. but if a car flies off of a track it can still flip, i mean there are still repercussions to worry about.

No Nick's car is the green one and the yellow one belongs to his father. I am thoroughly disgusted by this thread. Some of you need not post your opinion if you like the guy or not. Just wish his family well and get on with it. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean you have to let the whole world know it. How do you think his close friends and family feel when they see that most of the envious internet surfers on teh car forums don't like Nick because he was born into money and his father gave him everythign he wanted. Be careful how you judge others who had no choice of the cards that were dealt to them. Remember he doesn't know how different life can be. Some of us had nothing and now have something. He always had something to him this is as normal as working 2 jobs and going to school to support a hobby that makes us broke. So please be tact about what you say especially regarding the life of a 16 year old kid whose life hangs by thread due to an unecessary and unfortunate accident. For all we know, we don't know jack shit about what happened, none of you were there and none of you know the reason why he wrecked.
thats my .02 cents.

The cop at the scene specifically said that Nick was speeding, and he had to be doing something dumb to wreck the car like that. I stated before, having money and everything handed to you doesn't excuse you from being responsible. Sure, he drove at the tracks and all that, but what makes you think he didn't get all gassed up about himself and think he could drive on a street the same way he drives on the track?
It's great to have money, we all wish we had it. But that's not the issue. Personal responsibility and accountability are what I think everyone's trying to get at. Of course you can't hate on the dude for having money. But, what would have happened if someone would have been walking by, or crossing the street, or just generally being in the wrong place at the wrong time? Obviously Nick wasn't thinking about that. All he was thinking was, "ooh, let me race this guy in a Viper" and never thought about who he might hurt in the process. He seriously fucked up his own friend in the car.
I hope the Hulkster comes down on him like any of our dads would in the same situation. If Nick was my son, or if my son did some stupid shit like that, I would cut up his driver's license in front of him and never let him get behind the wheel until I was sure that he knew what he was doing.
End of the day- money ain't got nothing to do with being responsible.

who cares? really, who cares about "what if." what if there was a little baby in a carriage on the side-walk. what if the car went left instead of going right, and hit the other car he was racing. what if the queen had balls.
when you race, you race, period. you dont give a flying fuck about "what if" and honestly, i personally dont care about anything other than goofing around when i'm goofing around. its human nature, laugh now cry later, right? its in our nature to fuck around.

Hulkster isnt gonna do jack shieet, because its obvious that Nick's dad is not like most average Dads. Average Dads dont rip off tee shirts and elbow drop people in the ring. Average Dads are typically smart enough to NOT buy their son a 600HP supercar. Cutting up a license means nothing when you have too much money for your own good. You end up spoiled, and you spoil your children. The neighborhood would laugh at you if your RICH son ever had to take a bus, because you chose to be a good parent and cut your child's license.
Reality is, he needs more experience under his belt and his idiot parents should be smarter than to buy their rich son a fucking high horsepower sportscar, PERIOD. you can blame nick or think into the situation, but the reality is.. his parents should have been more responsible.
Look at all the young fuckers living in LA with tons of money, ALL have tons of problems. Too money money for their own good, fuckers just dont know what to do with it.

That's not necessarily true with the Hulk. He's a strict dad- when it came to Brooke. He never let her do shit. She went out on a date, and he put a tracker on her damn car to know where she was at all the time. He's still really hard on her, but she's a good daughter- she carries herself well and she hasn't fallen into the traps of being famous. Why he was lenient on Nick- I'll never know. But parents can only take so much blame- if Nick is such a good driver like some ppl stated, then he should have known better than to do what he did. The fact is, he did hurt someone besides himself- he hurt the passenger. He put someone's life at risk for stupidity.
Money doesn't make your decisions for you. Money doesn't excuse the stupid things you do. Nick is almost an adult, if not one already, and he is accountable. He's old enough to know right from wrong, and hopefully he learns from this.
For the record, I could give a flying fuck what anyone thought if I made my son take the bus if I was rich. At least my kids wouldn't grow up to be spoiled brats. Also, you don't have to be rich to raise brats either. You could be the poorest person, and raise the most hell-raising, awful children in the world- that's why there's crime in the inner-cities.

Oooh, thats strict! Thats not strict, thats bullshit you do to get ratings on your TV show. A real dad just wouldnt let her out of the house, THE END. A real dad would buy his kid a cheap car, one that doesnt have 600+ HP.
He's still really hard on her, but she's a good daughter- she carries herself well and she hasn't fallen into the traps of being famous.
She's famous enough to dress like a slut, but hey.. thats just my opinion, what do I know. I wouldnt want my daughter (not that I'll have one, because my offspring is too powerful and only capable of creating more male offspring) - but if for some reason I did have a daughter, I wouldnt raise her to dress like that, thats for sure.
if Nick is such a good driver like some ppl stated, then he should have known better than to do what he did. The fact is, he did hurt someone besides himself- he hurt the passenger. He put someone's life at risk for stupidity.
1) He's not a good driver, thats pretty obvious.
2) His passenger has free will, I am sure he didnt accidentally step into the car. Most people (teenagers at that), enjoy fucking around and getting into trouble.
Now, if I was friends with Nick, I'de obviously already know about him, his car hobby, etc. You see a lemon colored supra, gee.. I wonder, does he race? No, he just keeps it like that because its pretty. OF COURSE he races. Much like Dave Chappelle says "Dont dress up like a whore, unless you're a whore" - people that drive modified cars, tend to race - period. Most car enthusiasts, depending on how the car is modified, get sweated by cops becuase cops are not that stupid.. they have an understanding of how certain generalizations are true.
You say this now, but what about later? Its easy to talk now, say that when you have kids one day. As for crime in inner-cities, bullshit.. crime in the city exists because its the city, its ghetto because there's a need to survive. Sure, people can raise their kids right.. but the bottom line is, you make it seem like white-collared folks arent committing crime either!
BULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSHIT. Dont let the fancy homes and expensive cars fool you, rich people commit TONS of crimes and the only difference is, they are better at getting away with it. Look at the government, you think the system is perfect? So much shit happens and at the same time, gets covered up because they have other people do-dirt for them.

As a driver, you are responsible for the people that ride with you. As a passenger, when you step into a car with someone, you're basically trusting them with your life. He obviously made a bad decision riding with Nick, and he paid for it.
I'm really trying to understand what your argument is. Are you saying that Nick shouldn't get what's coming to him because he's rich?
As for crime in inner-cities, bullshit.. crime in the city exists because its the city, its ghetto because there's a need to survive. Sure, people can raise their kids right.. but the bottom line is, you make it seem like white-collared folks arent committing crime either!
You made my point. Crime is crime is crime, no matter who you are. People in inner-cities don't commit crimes of necessity- everyone has a choice of what they want to do with their life. I've lived my whole life in the ghetto. I'm not a drug dealer, or a prostitute, because I choose not to live my life that way.

http://icydk.com/2007/10/09/wow-thats-got-to-be-hard-to-live-with-if-youre-nick/
Super driver Nick Hogan managed to severely injure his passenger in the August 26th car crash when Nick hit a palm tree after speeding. The passenger, 22 year old John Graziano, is a marine who had just returned from duty in Iraq. John suffered devastating head injuries which, according to court documents, give the family only the hope that he will have the ability to open and close his eyes.
John Graziano’s mother, Debra Graziano, has legally petitioned a Florida court to permit her to assume guardianship of the 22-year-old, who remains in Bayfront Medical Center, the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Citing court papers, the paper reports that the most Graziano can hope for is to open and shut his eyes periodically. He was a passenger in 17-year-old Nick Bollea’s car when it careened off the road and struck a 25-ft.-tall palm tree in downtown Clearwater, Fla., police said.
The papers also state that Graziano was not wearing a seat belt. Police continue to investigate the accident, and no charges have been filed.
A nurse hired by the court filed a report on Sept. 19 that described Graziano as comatose and on life support, and also said he may have suffered a seizure, says the Times.
Nick has a history of driving without thinking and crazt.
Within the first year of obtaining his license, Nick was ticketed five times and received four points on his license. Those charges included a violation for going 115 mph in a 70 mph zone, 57 mph in a 30 and 106 mph in a 70. The most recent ticket prior to his crash occurred on August 10, 2007, when Nick was ticketed after his 1998 Toyota was recorded going 82 mph in a 45 mph active construction zone.
In an interview with Rides Magazine, Nick said he was pulled over three times in the same day while driving over 100 mph, and that the final time, the only one where he was ticketed, his actual speed was 123 mph in a 50 mph zone.
“In my silver Viper, I was driving from Miami to Tampa. I got pulled over going 107 [mph] and the guy let me off. He’s like, ‘Hey, I know who you are, just keep going, ya know.’ Dude, I got back on the road and two minutes later I get pulled over going 113 [mph]. Another highway patrol from the same county said, ‘I just heard on the radio that my buddy pulled you over and let you go. I’ma let you go this time. It’s your second warning. You get pulled over again, you’re probably going to go to jail.’ Three minutes later, [I was] doing 123 [mph] in a 50 [mph zone]. The guy is like, ‘Hey, I just heard you got pulled over twice in the last 10 minutes. I got to write you a ticket.’”
So the cool thing to do is brag about that? Someone pretty much lost their lives if all they can do is blink….They are a shell of the person they one were. It’s sad and I hope he does feel bad about this. I hope some sort of charges are brought against him because he seems to think he’s indestructible.

It has nothing to do with Hogan or his show, it has to do with Nick, his passenger, and the choices they both made in life. One cannot say that the passenger is not at fault and was innocent, thats bullshit. We all make our choices. He made a choice to step into a car with a moron, and didnt say anything about it.

Wow how fucking dumb can you get. I think Nick Hogan should have his driving privelages revoked until he is 21 and not be givin a valid license till he is 21.
The kid obviously does not know how to drive a fast car. He should be givin a slower car like a honda civic or something when he turns 21 and is allowed to drive again.
I have no sympathy for morons.

Regardless of whether or not the kid said anything and the choice he made of getting into the car, the BLAME lies with Nick because if he were to get pulled over, HE would get a ticket for his passenger not having on a seatbelt. It's the driver's responsibility to make sure everyone is buckled up and their lives are in HIS hands. I'm sure you learned that in Driver's Ed with the rest of us. Ultimately, Hulk Hogan is responsible for continually letting his son drive a car that powerful, even after the numerous points and tickets. So yes, it has everything to do with Hogan and his show if we want to boycott it due to their insensibility and irresponsible actions taken regarding his son.

Endless amounts of stupidity in this thread.
What does Hulkster have to do with this? Nick is a fuckin adult, he's man enough to join the army he's man enough to die and he's man enough to know the diff between right and wrong.
Two adults. If his passenger isnt smart enough to wear a seatbelt, thats his loss - survival of the fittest. Its not Nick's fault. It IS his fault for driving like an idiot, but thats besides the point.
I have a friend who was in the military and he chose NEVER to wear his seatbelt in his car, my car, any car. His life, his choice. I'm not going to sit there and force the guy to wear my 4pt harnesses (the only seatbelts I have on my cars).
What the hell, you need to baby sit everyone nowadays.

Nick is NOT an adult. He's 17 years old. Hulk has been letting him get into these cars since he was 15. To an extent, Hulk should be liable because the cars are registered in his name, the insurance is in his name, and Nick is still a minor. They let that kid do whatever he wants with no consequences. It's sad that someone else had to pay the price for his stupidity.
I agree that the passenger should have put on his seatbelt- it was a dumb thing to do, especially if that guy knows Nick and how he drives. But when you get into a car with someone, you are trusting that driver with your life. You are letting someone transport you in a 2-ton piece of machinery that, if wrong decisions are made, could cost you your life.
I watched that show from when it started, and it used to make me mad how they would let Nick get away with everything, and they gave him everything he wanted, but Hulk would want to control everything Brooke did. When he started getting into drifting, I was already like, "uh-oh. He's gonna kill himself one day soon."
Instead, he almost kills someone else. He totals an expensive car that someone else put all their time and effort to build. He put other drivers' and pedestrians' lives at risk for driving at the speeds that he does. All he's getting are slaps on the wrist and high-fives. Where is the accountability here? That is where I do blame Hulk. If my son ever came home with a speeding ticket after being pulled over 3 times for that kind of speed, you better believe I would cut up his driver's license and force him to ride a big-wheel everyday.
I know you don't have kids, Mike, but believe me, if you did, you know you would never let them get away with some bullshit like that.

Meh, why waste your time arguing about this bullshit? Dude vegged out his friend driving like a fucking retard.
So what? The kids got money. Thats all that matters. Why the fuck would you pay attention to him anyways. Id rather keep my own shit on lock than worry about someone elses.
That way someday hopefully I can have enough money to vegg out my friends in a badass car and not give a fuck.

I posted this on another forum (which Nick is also a member of), but Nick cut me off in his silver Viper last year doing about 110-120mph on the 10 freeway the morning of a Formula D event. He was weaving in and out of traffic without any regard for anyone else. The ridiculous part is that even though I was doing about 70mph I pulled up right behind him at the side gate at Irwindale. The difference was, I wasn't being an asshole.
I had some words with people I know at Mopar, both about that incident and about how they should have picked a better driver (like Pat Mordaunt, which it seems they eventually did). I was assured that it would be discussed both with corporate and with his dad, but who knows if either ever happened.
Someone has dropped the ball way too many times with this kid, and there is a point where if you're not realizing that you're endangering others or just don't care (especially when you have access to free track time any time you want it), there's something seriously lacking in the parental department.

i personally think that nick hogan, as a driver and car enthusiast is a retard and most importantly a DANGER to the people surrounding him in all areas.
He has crashed DOZENS of times and it has been captured on video. He has no "experience" drifting really. He said he wanted to do it and his dad set him up with like 3 or 4 training sessions? Then let him compete on a much bigger level? How the fuck did this kid get his license? No doubt he probably paid for it or begged or hell even both in his case, celebrities rule the media.
Its sad that this happened dont get me wrong, but if this was the regular high school kid with a car like this or any other car for that matter and something like this happened you can almost be guaranteed the kid would get charges dropped on him in a heartbeat unless some miracle happened and they were not hurt. You cant argue that.
And people taking up for nick in anyway about this all i have to say is why? He cannot drive. He has had more tickets in 3 years of driving then most of the people on here have had in their life so far. He has also wrecked plenty of cars, plenty of times why is their sympathy for this kid? Its a shame he had to hurt one of his friends but dont sit there and act surprised. It was bound to happen one day.
My apologies to his friend and friends family but Nick Hogan, have some respect for yourself and others next time. Hopefully you wont get the chance to let this happen again for a long, long time.

Kills me to see yet another young service member surviving Iraq, only to come home and have life damn near taken away over something so silly. Being in the Military, he should have had a better head on his shoulders, and should have known better about wearing his seatbelt.
