got a set of HERO Mesh (SSR reverse mesh type) wheels and they need to really be spruced up.
Wanna have the lips re-polished and gonna repaint the centers silver but wanna make sure they are Safe when I put them back together.
Anyone know the average Torque Specs of a wheel like that?
Anyone taken similar wheels apart please chime in.

15-20ftlbs with new bolts.
So its safe to say if I remove the bolts and then put them back on w/ the same (still in good shape) 15-20lbs that should be Good.
The bolts are Allen heads w/ Nuts on the back side.
Is this from exp. or a ballpark guesstimate?
thanks

The spec I give you is for the 2pc bbs cast wheel that's similar in design to yours. On the forged 3pc BBS RS wheel it's 40lbs. Torque value is low. We assembled them to PFT on the imsa GTO race car.. that was with nyloc nuts and a dab of red locktite.

well turns out..they are 2 piece but removed the bolts from the backside and the Allen heads on the front won't budge.
We're guessing they are 2 piece w/ the center cap I believe. Some Wheel companys do that....count the center cap as seperate.I don't even have the center caps.
They must be Cosmetic...but damn they look like they were gonna just pop right out.

are you sure? that doesn't really make any sense. i would think that they might be really frozen if the wheel has never been taken apart. can you knock the allen head bolts out the front and see if there is a seem in the hole?
