I'm looking to trade my motor that I had HRT build for me for an SR20 motor.
The motor is...a KA24DE motor, port and polished head, 3-angle valve job, Wiseco 9:1 forged pistons, AMS forged H-beam rods, micro polished crank shaft, balanced and blueprinted, Spec stage 3+ clutch, Fidanza flywheel, 2 transmissions. I have never even boosted the motor. I was saving for all my turbo parts and I may have run into a reall sweet deal with another motor, so I'm considering selling this one. I have always used Mobil 1 oil every 3K miles and it already has the oil return bung welded on the pan. It's located in Binghamton, NY. Is anyone intersted in it? It would also come with an extra distributor, MAF, throttle body and ignitor. I'm located in upstate NY (Binghamton). The motor is still in my car running EXCELLENT but will be taken out soon. Anyone interested?

I would also be interested in selling the motor and tranny's for $3,500+shipping. I also have build pics that were e-mailed to me from HRT.

What all do you have that would be included? How many miles do you think might be on it? Is it in your car now? Is it pretty stock or are there some fun little extras? Let me know.

It's a 2.4L bored .020" over with 9:1 Wiseco forged pistons with roughly 12-15K miles on it. It was installed last summer by my local Nissan dealership.

is it running alright? I have roughly 50k miles on my SR as of now. I did a compression check a few months ago. The results still exceeded the OEM spec and were consistant within each other. Since its running in my car right now, it has everything. I've always been a fan of keeping it at stock boost since my intention for this car was to be a track car. It's been drifted in high RPM, but compression is perfect as previously stated. I have HKS rocker arm stoppers, Competition Clutch Stage 4 (holds 500ftlbs- great for clutch kicking durring drifting), TODA light flywheel. All timing is set to OEM spec.
Do you use AIM? i added u on my buddy list but idont think u ever showed up online.

I'm RARELY on aim. It runs perfect with about 12-15K miles on it. I was just looking for something that was already boosted that I could just slowly upgrade. I was looking to either sell it or trade it for something that has already been upgraded already with some extra go fast parts. Where are you located?

Washington DC area, however im down in southern Virginia for school currently. How would we do this if it went down? Swap both motors in one day? Since both are running motors, we have everything.

It's my daily driver during the summer. In the winter it's garaged. I'm not driving it right now though. I'm having an electrical problem with my headlights.

I don't know man...like I said previously, I have a little over $4,500 in my motor...I think if I'm going to trade for an SR, I think I'm going to want one that's a little bit more than stock. Especially one that's only purpose is high rpm racing. No offense. My motor is almost brand new and completely unmolested stock with the exception of the rebuild with all forged internals.

Your looking for something with more upgrades that yields more power... and that isn't molesting a motor that only has 2.0L of displacement? lol. I've kept it at stock boost, the way it came from the factory to have a reliable and strong running motor. My compression test shows this.

No, I'm saying mine is unmolested. Not that I'm looking for an unmolested motor. But I am looking for a motor that has a little more invested in it to make it more of a fair trade. If I were to pick up a complete SR motorset, it would cost me a lot less than what I have in my motor now. Less than half actually. That's all I was saying. Not that you're an SR20DET motor molestor. :)

Of course...if you wanted to throw down some cash too...depending on the amount, I quite possibly could be persuaded. :naughty: Not that you'd want to do that. But anyway.

Gotcha. How much would someone pay for your motor though? I do not mean to degrade your engine or anything but the amount you invest in your motor isn't what it is worth in value. I understand $4500 is a pretty big investment in an engine and you would hate to loose it, but I've seen fully built KA-T motors sell for around that amount, actually a little less (Gary Simmons' S14, Matt Martin's S13; you can look both of their setups up on google, they are reconized drifters on the east coast).
Anyways, if you feel you dont think it is worth a straight up trade, we can work out additional cash added or parts added. How does that sound?
Also, im actually just looking for a KA with just aftermarket pistons... any chance you can take some of the stuff out but leave the pistons and piston rings in?

This is the link to the garage's site that built my motor. http://www.handcraftedracing.com/engines.html
All that you see listed there plus the port and polished head comes to $3,100. I bought the AMS Sportsman Forged H-beam rods for $395. The Spec stage 3+ clutch and Fidanza light weight flywheel came to between $500-$600. I really can't remember. Right there is about $4,000 alone. Then all the stupid miscellaneous shit like Magnecor plug wires ($100), Denso Iridium plugs ($50), new belts, hoses, SS clutch line, new slave cylinder etc. It probably all comes to a hair under $4,500. I'm not saying that's what the motor is worth, I'm saying that's what I have into it. As far as the couple people you listed there...I'm not aware of what kind of set up they're running or what kind of motor build they have. I just wanted a little more of an even trade than just my motor for a stock (with the exception of the clutch and flywheel) SR. I didn't mean to disrespect you or offend. That certainly was NOT my intention and I apologize if I came across that way.

Ok, well let me ask you this...what do you think is fair with all things considered? I'm trying to be reasonable and fair as well. A motor trade plus what on your end...?

i read over all your stuff in your motor, and jesus, its really an over kill for me since i was just looking for a fresh KA with pistons. I'm not even sure how to evaluate your motor. What do you think about my full setup +600? that can pretty much get you a GT28 and big injectors
