Was wondering if anybody has done the rear z32 brake swap for their s13. My question is will the stock e brake shoes fit the 300zx rear rotors. Do I need the rear spindles and uprights to complete the swap. I am also getting the 5 lug conversion for both f/r will that make the brake swap easier

If you're doing the rear z32 caliper then you wouldn't use the stock ebrake anymore. It is integrated in the caliper on your s13, and separate caliper-ebrake drum from the Z.

The rear spindles are not needed to do the swap, just make sure you have the entire ebrake assembly from the Z including the dust shield.

doing a five lug swap is a lot harder than getting rotors redrilled.

you can even get rotors pre-redrilled from a few online suppliers. the minimal extra cost is nothing compared to the cost of hubs, spindles, control arms, and wheels.

No 300zx rotors do not equal stock S13 rotors so they will not fit unless you use 300zx parts.

In order to do 5 lug on an S13 you need the rear hubs off of a Z32, I forget whether it's non turbo or not.

Doing rear 5 lug is not hard AT ALL. As long as you can source the parts from a junkyard. It's not that expensive either.

Doing rear Z brakes IMO is harder and more expensive than rear 5 lug.

Going 5 lug is one of those things you wont ever regret either. Better wheel selection, easier to find wheels, and the wheels are generally cheaper than the "baller 4 lug" wheels.

You need to read that ImportNut.net and really find out what you're working on before you touch that rear end of your car.
