so Drift Alliance came to toronto for the drift mania event as the judges.
awesome event and good demo given by the DA guys.
i took a bit of time to check each of the cars and i found one thing that boggled my mind.
Ryan Turek's red s13 coupe....had no endlinks on his rear swaybar
completely disconnected so basically non-functional since they were not connected to the RLCA. the swaybar seemed to be the hicas swaybar since it was thicker then a stock s14 sway.
i asked one of the guys, i believe it was angelo (rx8) and he said the reason being is because ryan wanted the rear suspension to be more independent. the track layout was slightly bumpy so that could be a reason.
anyone try running no swaybar? im guessing there would be a bunch of body roll in the rear.
how would this affect the cars handling?
just curious as i've never seen such a setup before.
i beleive the spring rates on his coils is 8/6, not sure what coils he's running tho.
seems like all the 240sx drift alliances cars had no aftermarket swaybars....
