When: Tuesday September 4th ~9am - ~5 pm
Where:Willow Springs International Speedway, Streets of Willow Track.
Entrance Fee: $150
Spots still available: ~10
It's that time of year again... Streets of willow private event sponsored by a new company Akom Racing. This is very similar to the one sponsored by Speed Trials USA in February.
Show up at ~9 for rules/indoc, run until sunset. There will be an initial division into (2) groups... noobs and experienced racers. But then it will become an open track once everyone gets the hang of it --> run till you're too tired to run.
please contact me if you are interested. And for those who have gone to this, RSX (DC5)/Honda boys run the show. Sorry, no drifting. Lets try to show them who's boss. :2f2f:

Open track with inexperienced drivers in FWD cars is horrible but I love the Streets.
What's their website so I can get more info, specifically on tech inspection?
Now I just have to find out what my schedule is that night as far as school goes...

From my experience, tech is very lenient. Just dont have loose lugs or spilling oil and you should be good. The FWD cars there will probably rip everyone a new one. :keke:

^^. the DC5 guys (most from club RSX), are very quick and have been running at SOW for a while now. typically there are no inspections, but like itsmeviet said, don't be leaking fluids onto the race track. very dangerous for yourself and others.

Akom racing is made from a buddy of mine. just opened the website www.akomracing.com (http://www.akomracing.com) . we ran privately under the cognizance of Speed Trials USA, until we figured out how to setup events ourselves.

well...some are. i know of at least 1 with a GT35 turbo, while the rest are built N/A's. last time zens14, InspireMS, Paul2x, itsmeviet, and myself were the only s-chassis there. lots of fun though.

It's just been my experience that inexperienced drivers in FWD cars are ungodly slow.
School and the fact that the S13 still won't be ready mean that I won't be going.
I miss the Streets.

wanted to know your policy on what happens if the track day gets cancled? do the drivers get their money back or just a spot reserved for the next track day?
sicarius82

money back... you can pay there in cash. i'm sure if you want a spot in the next, that can be arranged. but i'm sure you'd just want your money back to cut your losses. just make sure you give the money to Andrew. he's the beefy chinese dude with the white DC5. can't miss him. this happened in april. was windy as hell. got my cash back before i left.
