89 Coupe, aftermarket wheels, wide tires, 5 speed, nice stereo, 2.5" exhaust, intake, HUD sunroof. yes it's an 89, but it's also a DOHC engine (91).
i've known the person for two years and he's the first 240SX person i've ever talked to. checking it out this weekend and hopefully buying it the weekend after if i can come up with enough money <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
plans are a silvia front conversion and a turbo kit.
Edit: forgot to mention the price $3,000

Hows the job situation James? I take it now that you're buying another car, you're pretty secure?

i would put the money into my hatch, but it needs all new fenders and possibly a door and hood. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> it wasn't my fault either. it's been that way since i've had it, but you just can't see them very well at all unless you really look at it.
i also have the SOHC motor. not that there's anything wrong with the SOHC. but i'd have to at least rebuild it with stock specs before i could boost it.
so with the combo of the body damage and the old SOHC. it makes me want to buy another 240SX with a DOHC with lower miles and just boost it until it dies. and since my friend really needs to sell his, i'm going for that.
i don't know if i'm going to part my car out or what. i will be using the clutch and flywheel only. the coupe already has the suspension upgraded <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
it also has whiteline springs, KYB Agx's and strut tower bars i think. and a stereo system.
SR20Fastback: ah you remembered my job situation! things are a little more calm at work, but not calm enough. i'm thinking of quitting because they are trying to make us work harder with less people. it's probably not the wisest choice to buy this 240SX right now, but i can't pass it up!

Well, I am glad it seems that you are okay now.
I remember how worried you were when you bought the truck.
Sounds like you have some big plans <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

i'm ok for the most part but still a little worried. i may have a job lined up if anything goes wrong. plus if i got fired or anything, it would motivate me to go to tech school sooner.
lots of big plans indeed! i may buy an nsport turbo kit about a month after i get it or start piecing together a turbo kit.
here is a picture if anyone's interested.

yep. it's louis' car! but i haven't seen him online today. i'll be heading out to KC to check it out. i helped him tear apart the dash (well, i drank beer and ate pizza most the time) but i'd like to test drive it and look it over one more time. can't wait.

Are you going to use the Strut tower bars on your coupe? If not I might buy them from ya if you sell them. Let me know if they're fair game.

Buying cars is a blast! I'd do it a lot more often if I didn't have to deal with title, registration, inspection, insurance, and parking <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

let it go, matic. i sure did.
dave: i think the coupe does have strut tower bars from what i remember. i was thinking of using the hatch for autocross someday and i'd keep the STB's but, if i do part out the car i will sell them to you if you want.
