need some opinions on it. don't kno which to run.

does the power fc have a 2step launch control/rev limiter/speed limiter remover?

just wondering which u think is better inlcluding the price in comparison.

i'm going by TF prices...

AEM = $1650
Power FC = $999

i kno the pwoer fc is on ebay with the "DJ unit" for 900. but i have no idea wtf the DJ thing is/does

I think that you are talking about the PowerFC D-Jetro version. It's changes the car from MAS to a MAP sensor. The MAP is more accurate and allows for a open bov.

The Power FC either comes in a L-Jetro version or D-Jetro version. L-Jetro retains your vehicles MAF (some people get the Z32 MAF as an upgrade with the L-Jetro). D-Jetro eliminates the MAF and uses a pressure sensor or MAP. If I recall correctly, the MAP version is a lot more accurate when it comes to tuning compare to the MAF version.

I know for a fact that the power fc has the limiter control and speed limit removal. It is standalone, just not a whole bunch of people know how to use it if i remember.

The main concern I would have with the power fc is that the company is rumored to be going under. I would worry about any support that may be needed down the road....If you get the power fc def get the d-jetro....

the PFC does not have a 2-step

the AEM does have the 2-step

the cost of the AEM and PFC makes a whole lot difference but with all the sensors plus the electronic boost controller for both.

AEM cost more than the PFC

It is just a piggyback launch control, no reason it shouldn't work. MSD makes a 2 step launch also. I have AEM and it has a lot of features, a lot.

PFC has been proven and is cheap and is easy to use.
AEM not cheap, lots of features, easy to use once you learn the software.

Either way get the MAP convert for the AEM or L-jetro for the PFC. It is easy to wire and makes future upgrades limitless and ease of tuning.

PFC w/commander and L-jetro sensors, boost solenoid is ~1.3K
AEM w/UEGO and MAP, IAT, Boost solenoid is ~2.3k

Only one version of the apexi power fc had launch control, and that was the AP-Engineering PFC. It was a cross license specifically for drag. Finding one, and the djetro, and for your model, will be a royal pain.

AEM is ok, except the software looks like a freeware, and there is no "certified way" to lock the cas against the computer, which made me insane, other wise its a relatively solid little box. Only drawback is that once you purchase the AEM you are stuck with that model and pinout. But tunning is about 100000x better.

Haltech..? Cheaper, and the ecu is universal, meaning you can use it on your next project. Even with the patch harness, its still under the AEM's pricetag. The haltech software is also much more straightforward and easy to use (and clean). Its the bee's knees, thats why I sell it.
