View Full Version : My S14 trunk won't close!
I adjusted my trunk at the latch when I got my car because it was rattling really badly, but when I put something that's heavy in the trunk like wheels, my trunk for some reason doesn't close. Now it doesn't even close when I adjust it. I even got a new latch and it still doesn't close. What should I try?

get in the trunk. find someone TRUSTWORTHY to open and close as you are in the trunk with a flashlight.
look and see whats stopping it. i guess the average person weighs about the same as a set of wheels and tires

I find is having something like too. But it's after he stops drifting it pops open.
I've tried closing it with me in it, the latch just doesn't seem to latch, it's really weird.

try pulling the bottom latch connected to the car up with a crow bar or somthing. i spend 130$ on a new latch to find out it was just the bottom. the problem was i slamed the trunk on my handle bars. its crazy cause it only takes a little bend to throw it off.
So try bending up the latch on the body toward the front of the car?

I wouldnt try bending anything. Unless your car has been wrecked, your trunk latch should be in the right position. I know you have already tried but all you have to do is adjust it. It does get annoying but thats all you need to do. And yes the best way is to get in the trunk and adjust it.
