So i finished removing egr. Put an ebay plate to plug the hole, plugged that one small line heading to the intake (fuel valve thing?), and kind of capped of the exhaust (still leaks). Heres the problem: idles to stall. Been reading up on it and i've looked all over for vacuum leaks, put a resistor on the temp sensor (i'm on an obdII harness), and took a look at the IACV which i think is clear of any obstruction. If i remove the IACV hose where it connects before the throttle body, the engine stays at 1200-1400 rpms, but the second its plugged in to the intake hoses the engine idles to stall. Tried to reset the ecu, both by diconnecting and by turning that dial on the ecm. Why is it doing this? Does it hate me? The engine also threw 5 codes at me: engine running lean, IACV malfunction, EGR malfunction, IAT failure, and i think egrc solenoid failure. Looked all over for any harness connector i might have accidentally left disconnected nothing. Help me.

I just went through the exact same hell on my NA 91 s13 trying to squeeze a few extra hp out of it. I took of the EGR and put on the blocking plate, rerouted the vacuum lines and plugged the exhaust manifold EGR pipe. Exact same scenario, starts fine then immediately dies. I just put the EGR back on and the car runs fine. I even tried adjusting the IACV with no luck. Without engine management I don't think there is any way to remove or block the EGR.

You're completely wrong too. As long as the two vacuum sources are capped, the EGR can be deleted with nothing else required, car will run fine. I've done it on dozens of 240s for years.

Can you provide a pic of the two capped lines please.
