NORTON!!!!

It works great, but I also run the free version of Zone Alarm along with it just to be extra safe when I'm online.

Symantec. But only because I get it for free.

If I didn't have that I'd go for AVG (FE).

But in seriousness, I use Microsoft antispyware and norton.

But I tend to change out fairly often. Depends which computer I'm on.

AVG Free Edition + Spybot + PeerGuardian (that shit don't count, does it?)

Never had a virus, spyware or anything like that.
I still laugh at people that get em.
Get real people, get with the program.

I have used Norton, and liked it.

I am using McAfee right now. It's about the same. It has a cool site adviser though. It tells you if a site is spammy or not. I thought that feature was pretty cool.

Had norton back in the day, it sucked ballz because AVG would catch things before they would come in and try to infect my machine.

I ran AVG for a while and havent had a single problem (and its free which is also amazing).

McAfee is ok, still weak like norton.

Switched to Kaspersky and its quicker than AVG, between the two it caught some small stuff that AVG let in which surprised me. AVG was also starting to confuse files that were clean in Kaspersky's definition.

Other than that I run both ad-aware + Spybot's tea timer + peer guardian + peer guardian on my router. I have delt with too many virus's in the past 10 years so I try my best to keep things clean. Mozilla's NoScript helps as well.

did anybody else recently get a popup about drivecleaner? it says they've seen all the adult websites you visited and that drivecleaner can take care of it....even if you exit out of it norton says it's a medium security risk

I used to use Symantec but it locked down my computer too much. Had a lot of unexplained problems with my computer that were cleared up once once I uninstalled it.

Now I just use common sense. Don't go to sites that will give you spyware/viruses, delete email immediately from senders you don't know, and keep your computers software up to date.

Every once and a while I'll run a Bazooka scan to see if I have anything. Always turns up negative.

I don't use crapintosh, but since I use Linux I run no virus protection.

But seriously, at work I run a mixed network and all of the windows pc's run avg because it is a) a lot easier to use than norton, b) cheaper, c) just as good as its competitors and most importantly d) it isn't crammed down your throat everytime you purchase a pc.
