Alright I have been searching all day and have really only found setups for maxing out this turbo. What I would like to know is could I get this turbo and run it on stock injectors and maf between 8-10psi without running into problems? I am looking to buy a new turbo because my T25 is gonna take a shit and I would like to just put the money toward a good one and not have to spend money twice. I am not looking for huge power or anything right now just for a good working engine as I have just built an SR and at this point just want it to run reliably.

wow..now ive seen it all. :tweak: a gt35r will flow a shit ton more air than a t25 would at 10psi. go read a few books and come back when your a little more educated son. :bigok:

He is right, but he is wrong and wrong as hell!
$=10psi -T25
@=10psi-GT35
$$$$$$$$$ T25 flow a minute
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ GT35 flow a minute
So in about 5 minutes your done.
I'm an idiot say it with me.

Well I knew that and thats why im asking. Is the extra air flow gonna require maf and injectors to run safely at about 8psi?

i was runnin around with one for a few days on 7 lbs and i didnt have a

problem with detonating, just make sure you run the proper oil lines, or the

right sized fittings those garrett ball berings dont like alot of oil pressure

If you can't afford to do all the supporting modifications, just get another t25 for the time being. It'll cost you like $150 and a few hours of your time and you can always sell it when you are done with it. I personally wouldn't run the gt2871 without engine management.

What flybert said.

Everything really needs to be all together and working well, for things to go well. Engine management and deachwerks injectors are about the price of another swap, which you'll be doing, if you dont, then you'll be stuck at stock again.

Unless you DONT want to spend the money, in which case, get out of the game, and get a camry.

10PSI out of a T25 and 10PSI out of a gt28 is the same air pressure, yes. The difference lies in the amount of air, that is at 10PSI, that each turbo can flow. That difference is why, other mods notwithstanding, a gt28 at 10PSI would produce more horsepower then a T25 at 10PSI.

I'm with Flybert and johngriff... just wait till you got the money for the needed supporting mods. T25 is cheap and quick to replace, and it's better to buy a T25, and wait and still be able to drive, then buy a gt28, slap it on, and grenade your engine the first time you hit boost.

just use the t25 till it craps out, take good care of it and it will last you a while. waite till you get the supporting mods, fmic, injectors and management. that get the 2871r

Keep the boost low, the 2871 would already make a little more power at the same boost as your t25 did. If you want to play it cautiously, buy some injectors and fuel management before you turn it up!

T25's are infamous for taking a dump...Its just cause there so dang old.

Good luck!
