THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE. Actual picture of what I just bought.

What else do I need?

I know they have all the pistons, seals, etc.

They came with the 4 brake pins.

Asside from:

Rotors

Lines

Pads

What else do I need?

Do the brake pads come with the shims and the springs?

I saw these on PDM-Racing.com do I need them seperate or do they come with 300zx brake pads in the box?

you will need a brake pad kit. it will come with 2 shims, those retainer wire thingys anddddddddddd little shims that go on the side of the brakes i think. shims are on the long side and theres another thing on the thin side of the brake pads. it holds them in place and helps prevent brake squel.

from the pics you have you are missing the shims and the little metal things that go on the side of the pads (aside from the lines rotars and pads that aren't pictures).

some brake pads come with shims already like if you buy some from autozone or kragen.

those paper clip type things and the cross metal pieces you need. they help hold the pads in place. the 4 pins also hold the pads in place (z32 brakes and holes on them and the pins go through them).

i have a set of z32 rotors you can have like for $20. they might need to be resurface. you can also take a look at my setup if you'd like.

The long wire spring is needed to secure the pins in the caliper, but you can also just use cotter pins, a paper clip cut in half, etc. There's not much load on it. The large wave spring is needed to hold the pads off the rotor during driving, it's a must have. Other than that you can use those lines if you like a little extra length or buy SPL's lines, then get rotors and pads. Generally pads don't come with shims, I've never used shims on any brake job I've ever done and don't see the point unless you're using shitty pads that squeak. If not, shims aren't required.

you needa klean those dirty things and paint them once over.... cover the letter with grease or vasoline!

and if you got a hook up on them i would suggest selling them on ebay because girls are going ape shit over them haha

if your doing the rears also i do belive you need z32 of r33 e-brake cables because of the e-brake assembly beling like a drum brake.

I got a whole bunch of the front o-rings if you every decide to split the halves apart.

For a front z-32 brake conversion you need:
1. calipers
2. rotors
3. pads
4. springs, shims, pins, and clips (hardware kit)
5. brake hoses
6. 300zx master cylinder
You must get the OEM NABCO cylinder unless you wanna make some brake lines (on non-ABS cars) NABCO NOT TOCKIKO! There are also two sizes to chose from 1" and 1 1/16", the larger diameter bore will give you a stiffer pedal.

I am not 100% sure on this, but you may need:
7. different brake booster.

If you wanna do the rear as well you will also need (other than pads, rotors, calipers, and hardware kit).
1. 300zx e-brake drum assemblies/backing plates
These will bolt up to your stock rear uprights.
2. E-brake cables
I guess skyline, but I am not 100% sure.
3. brake hoses

It would also be a good idea to change to the 300zx aluminum rear uprights because all that e-brake crap adds quite a bit to the unsprung weight. To do this you need:
1. uprights
2. 300zx rear struts
3. polyurethane bushings for the upright
Highly reccomended, but not necessary.

If I ever do my conversion I think I am going to be a gangster and ditch the e-brake, I am a grip driver not a drift driver.

Haha, thanks guys, this thread actually has a lot of good contribution. I'm posi repping everyone.

I've since located ALL the brake components (short of front brake pads) to complete my conversion.

ok misconceptions here. First off it does not matter if you have the Nabico or the Tokico you do not need to make new lines. I know I have installed and sold both brands. Some Nabicos , not all come with the flare fitting already in the middle line bore. Tokico's do not . You can get fittings for the flare line that screw in. Then they will bolt right up. E brake cables are another misconception. 2+2 ebrake cables bolt right up in stock location on S13 regular ones need to be relocated to work. S14's use R33 skyline e brake cables and again need to be relocated. This is not rocket science.
P.S. you are an idiot if you don't install a ebrake cable and don't run a ebrake on your car. Its dangerous to do that. The ebrake is your last line of defense if you have a master cylinder failure.

From what I have read the tockiko cylinders have a VW style buble flare machined for the 3rd brake line, the nabco's have a standard reverse flare and your line will thread right in. If you have ABS then it doesn't matter because you only use one line. As far as the e-brake cables go if you read my post you will see that I stated that I wasn't sure. And as far as not running the e-brake being unsafe all I have to say is that sudden brake system failures that would require you to use your e-brake to stop are EXTREMELY uncommon. There are aftermarket brake kits that do not have a provision for an e-brake (arizona z-car one for starters), also 99% of full race cars do not have e-brakes. My car is not being built to be my daily driver it is a track car that will only be driven on the street occasionally so street safety is not a concern at all.

Whenever I hear a 300zx brake conversion question... I always redirect to:

Link 1 (http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm)
E-brake Install (http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap-ebrake.htm)I haven't personally done this since I think my Q45's are excellent for my stock-ish KA, but I hope those links help. Very detailed.
