1996 S14 240sx

*Car cranks strong, won't spark/fire.
*Car push starts fine and continues to run fine.

*Changed ecu/ignitor chip/mafs/starter is fine.

So it has to do with the ignition switch, I checked it and the black/red wire leading to it was hotter than hell. It turned to be a short from my turbo timer wiring. So I look at the ignition switch and the solder is all melted up/shits burnt up.

I don't knoiw if any of you guys have ever messed with one of these but when you unplug it and take it apart (in an s14) it there are little brass pins that ARE the contacts. The black/red wire contact was depressed, so i pressed it in and tried starting up again, no go, then the fuckin power windows wont work.

The audio won't work either. What the hell. I checked fuses and all are fine.

Has anyone here ever rebuilt an ignition switch on an s14? (I know the s13 is pressed shut)

What could have caused pwr windows and audio to go out? My wiring is fine, fuses are fine.

Help me get my car started please!

So you're sure the contacts are all soldered together still? They shouldn't just press/click in, they should be soldered (the copper parts to the wire ends).

ACC out would account for the stereo, but the windows don't go up and down until you switch to ON... so that's two different pins = two different problems (as long as all fuses are actually good).
